An update on my car, been out putting some miles on it, getting everything broken in again the new driveshaft is working out pretty nice, laid down a bit of rubber just to see if it would, not a problem. -

So an update: everything is back in, the vibration is gone, gas gauge is working again, I’m a happy boy. Now if it would stop raining I could go for a drive. -

Hey Paul, looking good. I did much the same thing for mine see attached. I used 14” fans too and a shroud. -

So I had to order a new driveshaft, custom built this time so while I’m waiting decided to tackle the gas gauge issue. New send unit with AN8 fittings this time around. A work of art 😊 -

Hey guys, I’m just looking for some input, I have a 1972 Monte, modified, running a 555 ci big block, a th400 manual shift transmission, I’m having problems I think with the driveshaft, it is the original one. I changed the transmission yoke to a strange yoke that fit the th400, (and having said all that the car hasn’t run since 1993 when I took it completely apart and that driveshaft has moved 3 times to different houses) I have a massive shake at around 60 miles an hour when I accelerate hard, definitely in the drivetrain. Any ideas? And to install the current driveshaft I have to load the rear suspension in order to get it in.

Awesome, I put full pipes to the back, cannot hear much from the car but apparently they are pretty loud. The joys of big blocks -

The only track time it will see is when I go for lapping days at one of the road tracks up here, my 27 old son doesn’t believe that it will beat his modified RX8 on a road track, he’s under the impression that it is only good for a straight line. He’s so wrong 😂 -

But I do understand that, I have already modified mine so much that I’m past the point where I worry about it -

Yea, they are, fuel pressure and the engine temperature gauges, I put 3 on the console, and the fuel had to be outside the passenger compartment so I just added in the temperature gauge because I think it is more accurate than the stock one. -

So I put the last parts on my car today, it’s mechanically complete now, I have a lot of tweaking to do, but from a bare frame 3 years ago to now, wow I can’t believe it -
Hey and by the way, I just put my hood back on too all by myself, definitely a chore and I had to sling it from the hoist to do it but I got it done
