  1. Ahhh been there done that and still doing it after 36 years now
  2. Well that sucks, hopefully you can get it running again, my condolences
  3. Just sitting in the shop on a very rainy day wishing I could be out for a run. 🇨🇦
  4. An update on my car, been out putting some miles on it, getting everything broken in again the new driveshaft is working out pretty nice, laid down a bit of rubber just to see if it would, not a problem.
  5. So an update: everything is back in, the vibration is gone, gas gauge is working again, I’m a happy boy. Now if it would stop raining I could go for a drive.
  6. Hey Paul, looking good. I did much the same thing for mine see attached. I used 14” fans too and a shroud.
  7. So I had to order a new driveshaft, custom built this time so while I’m waiting decided to tackle the gas gauge issue. New send unit with AN8 fittings this time around. A work of art 😊
  8. And happy Canada Day!!!!🇨🇦
  9. Hey guys, I’m just looking for some input, I have a 1972 Monte, modified, running a 555 ci big block, a th400 manual shift transmission, I’m having problems I think with the driveshaft, it is the original one. I changed the transmission yoke to a strange yoke that fit the th400, (and having said all that the car hasn’t run since 1993 when I took it completely apart and that driveshaft has moved 3 times to different houses) I have a massive shake at around 60 miles an hour when I accelerate hard, definitely in the drivetrain. Any ideas? And to install the current driveshaft I have to load the rear suspension in order to get it in.
  10. I feel your pain , I don’t know how many times in my life that I’ve been there, now 66 and still have the same problem just not with my monte
  11. Awesome, I put full pipes to the back, cannot hear much from the car but apparently they are pretty loud. The joys of big blocks
  12. The only track time it will see is when I go for lapping days at one of the road tracks up here, my 27 old son doesn’t believe that it will beat his modified RX8 on a road track, he’s under the impression that it is only good for a straight line. He’s so wrong 😂
  13. But I do understand that, I have already modified mine so much that I’m past the point where I worry about it
  14. Ahh, all you need is a new burled woodgrain inset, no one would ever know
  15. Yea, they are, fuel pressure and the engine temperature gauges, I put 3 on the console, and the fuel had to be outside the passenger compartment so I just added in the temperature gauge because I think it is more accurate than the stock one.
  16. So I put the last parts on my car today, it’s mechanically complete now, I have a lot of tweaking to do, but from a bare frame 3 years ago to now, wow I can’t believe it
  17. Hey and by the way, I just put my hood back on too all by myself, definitely a chore and I had to sling it from the hoist to do it but I got it done

  18. Sorry this took so long, my truck broke down and I had to fix it, see attached photos for the wiring diagrams, all Monte Carlo related, and nice job so far
  19. Very cool, if grandad needs a wiring diagram let me know and I’ll take a picture of it tomorrow and send it your way
  20. I love that song, listen to it pretty much every day
  21. Yea, I know them all, 25 or 6 to 4 is one of my favourites, Kath was amazing. I saw them live in 69 and again I 2017, still amazing
  22. I love that song, listen to it pretty much every day
  23. Yea, my other car is out getting a new clutch put into it, my son finally got his car out of my shop, so yep I have some room to maneuver. Have to love it. What it normally looks like
