That's what I get for giving away my 'secret'! 😄 I was planning on watching and waiting for the Bilsteins and trying out the Monroes that I threw on the car years ago (and already had to replace one for leaking with less than 5 miles), but 25% off and waiting a few days for the usual $20 off $249 might make me add this to my parts collection for later in the year.
Secrets don’t remain secret very long here. We all have the gift of gab. lol.

Congratulations on it finally coming home.

I agree the window seems to be a little close to the quarter but possibly the trim on the quarter itself is rock hard and not rolling with the window. The trim should be really flexible.

Welcome. Great group here. That’s a dang nice car. It cleaned up well for a basic wash. Looking forward to seeing your progress. If you become a dues paying member of the club the Western meet is happening later this summer. Great show, great people and awesome Monte’s. Welcome again.

Welcoming Steve. The positive attitude is refreshing and is what we like to have on the site. A lot a of great folks here and most will ramble along with you. The cars and mostly the people is why we’re here. If you really want to talk cars you may want to join us in Carlisle PA , if you’re up to it, to see a bunch of great cars and meet a bunch of great people. And yes we dedicate the evenings to rambling in the parking lot. You’ll fit right in. Welcome again.

As long as you’re working on the Monte you won’t regret that decision. Also I’ll bet long after the Monte is done and or gone you will remain a member because of the people that you have come to know and trust. It’s not all about the cars here. Great decision and glad to have you on board.

Welcome Dan. A partial answer to your question. The molding that goes there is pretty wide. It may take all of that gap. But I do believe the gap between the windows should be even.

I’m guessing 402, th400 and 12 bolt. 402 is just a bored 396. Nobody complains about that. Good engine as long as it was taken care of. Of course that’s with anything. Welcome to the group by the way.

I’d just paint the frame with frame paint. You don’t want anything to thick around the bushings and mounting areas it will throw off all the body alignments.

Don’t sell. Put a motor in. IF, I don’t know, money is the issue you can buy a running small block usually pretty cheap and put it in the car in a day. Paint it up so it looks good and there you go.

Hey Tyler. I know how you Minnesotans are, trust me. Born and raised in Coon Rapids Minnesota. We tend to be that way. lol. Get him on the site and let him play around and read the wealth of information that’s available. Whether he becomes a member or not isn’t as important as getting him the information he needs.
