Found this with one of the part numbers on the label:

    https://goldenstarauto.com/products/1970-1972-chevy-monte-carlo-front-fender-patch-rear-lower-rh

    Full Fenders:

    https://goldenstarauto.com/collections/chevy-monte-carlo/fender

CHL Auto Parts, as shown on the upper right of the label:

    https://en.chlautoparts.com.tw/index.html

The GMK406019070R shows up as what appears to be the crappy patch panels. Maybe Gold Star just puts it on there as a cross.

The customer won’t be very pleased with that one. Lol

  3. The previous owner cut off the original fender. Obviously to line it up properly one of the two need to be cut. Not by me. lol. But it looks like everything lined up really well.

    So not true Dennis!!!!!!

I am not a body guy, but they look leaps and bounds better than the other patch panels!!!

Dennis, see if you can who makes them? As i was planning on ordering some from AMD in a few months.

I will add a picture of the label as it is on the back. Made in Taiwan

I don’t think Amd has anything anymore. I looked awhile ago and none of the parts players had anything. It was all on factory backorder.

  7. Take the outlet cover off , short the screws on the side, recover and go find out what doesn’t work. I used that method for years. Hmmm. Does explain a few things?!?  lol.

Obviously the first set of patch panels are junk.

The Jegs ones certainly look like a winner for sure, and even though they'll take some work to install, they look to be a quantum leap forward. I recall Leo saying in a phone conversation that the aftermarket fenders take less time to get to a usable state than making repair panels fit. I wonder how these will stack up in that equation.

Bring them with you to Carlisle, Leo is supposed to be there as well and may be interested in seeing them, (if he hasn't already).

I sent Leo a message before I bought the first set. No response.

  9. Got them yesterday. I’m pretty impressed. I lined them up with the other patch panel and a nos 70 fender. Critics welcome. This is for most all of us. Let’s figure out what’s wrong and right.

Yeah, wow!  That looks great!  I'm definitely not getting rid of the vinyl top trim.  Something to think about as I'm getting closer to finishing the work for the season.  All of the little studs that hold the trim retainers on are long gone due to all of the rust.  I would have to figure out where it's supposed to lay and then install some small screws with proper heads to hold the retainers in.  But yeah, awesome idea and photo reference - thanks for posting that!!!

Beldon speed sells the proper screws.
