Found this with one of the part numbers on the label:
https://goldenstarauto.com/products/1970-1972-chevy-monte-carlo-front-fender-patch-rear-lower-rh
Full Fenders:
https://goldenstarauto.com/collections/chevy-monte-carlo/fender
CHL Auto Parts, as shown on the upper right of the label:
https://en.chlautoparts.com.tw/index.html
The GMK406019070R shows up as what appears to be the crappy patch panels. Maybe Gold Star just puts it on there as a cross.
The customer won’t be very pleased with that one. Lol

Hi Tracey, and welcome. I have to assume you have tried the PA department of motor vehicles and the Maryland also. Possibly find a person that knows someone in the respective departments, they may do a little more in-depth search. Or state patrol. Best of luck.

So not true Dennis!!!!!!
I am not a body guy, but they look leaps and bounds better than the other patch panels!!!
Dennis, see if you can who makes them? As i was planning on ordering some from AMD in a few months.
I will add a picture of the label as it is on the back. Made in Taiwan
I don’t think Amd has anything anymore. I looked awhile ago and none of the parts players had anything. It was all on factory backorder.

You’re welcome Tom. It’s what we do. Probably about time I contribute something useful.

I have my original 71 fender in the shed. I’ll dig it out tomorrow. The previous owner has it already cut for a new patch.

Take the outlet cover off , short the screws on the side, recover and go find out what doesn’t work. I used that method for years. Hmmm. Does explain a few things?!? lol.

Obviously the first set of patch panels are junk.
The Jegs ones certainly look like a winner for sure, and even though they'll take some work to install, they look to be a quantum leap forward. I recall Leo saying in a phone conversation that the aftermarket fenders take less time to get to a usable state than making repair panels fit. I wonder how these will stack up in that equation.
Bring them with you to Carlisle, Leo is supposed to be there as well and may be interested in seeing them, (if he hasn't already).
I sent Leo a message before I bought the first set. No response.

I left everything out. So if you guys want different pictures let me know before Karen gets home. lol. ( it’s all in the bedroom).

Yeah, wow! That looks great! I'm definitely not getting rid of the vinyl top trim. Something to think about as I'm getting closer to finishing the work for the season. All of the little studs that hold the trim retainers on are long gone due to all of the rust. I would have to figure out where it's supposed to lay and then install some small screws with proper heads to hold the retainers in. But yeah, awesome idea and photo reference - thanks for posting that!!!
Beldon speed sells the proper screws.

Totally makes sense now. I have seen the error of my ways. My apologies Bob. If I did things to my 71 I would go back to my restoration thread also.

Thanks Willie, now I feel bad. Maybe that’s the swift kick in the rump I need to actually do something with this thing.

They look good. But I have to ask, just out of curiosity, why are you posting this in the archive section and on a nine year old post. Wouldn’t you be best suited to put this in the current restoration section? Like I said just curious.
