I'm surprised you didn't ask for a title, official, not a copy 🤣 If it weren't for Glen I'd probably be called the photoshop king 🤣 Not a dis Glen, you do some great work 🤘
I asked for a legitimate title months ago.

Welcome Kevin. A couple days ago I was cruising around Facebook and seen your pictures. It didn’t take you long to tear in to it. Looks like a pretty nice car to rebuild or restore. You have started the process of getting involved with, in my opinion, the best Monte group. A great bunch of Monte heads here. You have questions, we are all here to help. Good luck on your project and hope to see you on the site often.

Look at the vac line going to the transmission modulator. You may have pulled it off when redoing the lines.

Not that many big block "SS" cars would ever use cruise control...... You'd need a trailer to haul the extra gas tank along.
I do agree with the statement but in reality the speed limit back then was 55 mph( correct me if I’m wrong Rob, you were in your late thirties early forties 😆😆). A lot of people cruised the interstates at 55 even if they had an SS car because of the lower gear ratios, my 70 SS has 2:56 gears.

The 55 Chevy was the first year of the Tri-five Chevrolet series.
Fifty-Five, 55 and Double-Nickles all have the same meaning.
That reminds me, we are now only 55 days and a wake-up away from our first members arriving in Carlisle to kick off our 2024 Eastern Meet.

Someone is up early this morning. lol.

They put them on a bunch of small block cars. They went 70 mph too. But I do believe, to some degree, that’s a legitimate concern.

Just for you, I created another option for our 'Reactions' menu. Look in the bottom right corner.
You're welcome.
You …. I hope you understand. You’re NOT getting a thanks from me. That’s one reaction I’ll never use.

No worries Rob, it's largely an unsung unseen process by volunteers here that keep the place chugging along. Throwing out the occasional kudos or banana is ok 🤣
No bananas.

I also would love to go to one of Aaron's meets in the BC. The pictures he posts of that area are beautiful. We can't this year but my wife and I have talked about either flying out one year. In reality we would have a couple or 3 options: 1) Fly out, rent a car and join i the fun. 2) Do a Canadian cross country train trip over to BC, rent a car and go to the meet or 3) Fly there from Eastern Canada go to the meet and then take the cross country Canadian train ride back east.
rob
Option 4. Road trip in the Monte. Take a few weeks and tour the country.

LOL Yes Rob i did notice that and was going to ask for before and after pics of his head!!!
That’s funny Willie. I just took a gas tank to the head today. Pretty decent gouge. lol. So the before pic will have previous marks. I worked on it about 4 hours Saturday and got all the electrical pulled. I also marked everything so the rebuild goes smoothly. We will see what the next trip brings back here.

A lot of places sell the console pockets separately from the chrome piece. All the factory had the chrome. My 72 does not have the console pockets factory.
