Yep that is super helpful thank you. I have the same holes just like your but my crossmember is mounted all the way forward

Check out your crossmember and make sure the ends are not rusted away.

  2. I don’t know on a small block car because, honestly I never paid attention. But the first picture is of my 70 SS frame ( 454 th400) for reference. The second picture is I of the  mount holes, you can see the washer mark towards the front bolt and the other would be the rear hole with hardly no washer marks. The third picture is of my 71SS ( 454 th400). That should give you what you need.

I’m more like Linus, I’ll just continue playing my own music.  Spoke with them today, he said “this time I really mean it” lol he promised me the car on Saturday.  I know it would have been wrong but Charlie might have felt better if he had kicked her,

I want my car back so there will be no kicking, the price is making me feel better

I hope you do get it home. If he’s helping you out on the cost , that’s even better.

Are the brackets sand blasted or in primer which ever they look goot

I always try to hit parts with the sandblaster so the purchaser knows I’m not hiding anything. Usually I won’t prime or paint either.
