What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?

An update of what I’ve been up to for the last month. A lot of cleaning, painting, powder coating and assembly. Body is back on the chassis. -

Got the steering and suspension done last weekend. This weekend I’m taking a look at the interior. Just pulled the front carpet to look at the driver’s floor. I can’t believe how good this car is!!!

Got customer cars out of the shop so I could get to my '71. This weekend I replaced the idler arm, pitman arm, front coil springs, front lower control arms, front shocks, front upper control arm bushings, rear coils and did an alignment. Found a set of 15X8 rally wheels earlier in the week ($150 for all 4 with centres and rings) so I put 2 on the rear to see how it looked. The front end came up 3 inches and the rear came up 2 1/2 with the new Moog coils. Hope to get to the rear control arms and bushings soon. 33242A6D-EA6E-4B82-9E1A-FA7FB11A772B.heic -
Thanks Ronald. I ordered from The Parts Place yesterday and according to UPS they should arrive to my shop here in Canada tomorrow afternoon.

Here's my dilemma. Pulled the Control arms out of my newly acquired '71 MC today to replace the whipped out bushings And they are so worn that the control arms are cracked. Any suggestions on where to get good tubular or factory ones? Thanks.

Only a few pics for now. Will submit more when It is more mobile. Front brakes are seized on but everything else seems to work. It was brought up from Tucson 10 years ago and put in the back corner of a barn until yesterday.

Looking forward to interacting with everyone here. Just purchased my first Monte. It is a true barn find 1971 originally from Arizona. It is pretty basic but rust free and has A/C.
