  1. Incidents like these become more prevalent when consequences no longer act as a deterrent.

There needs to be universal truth in sentencing, no time off for “good behavior” and disposition needs to be swift, not drawn out over years with multiple continuances.  You probably wouldn’t believe how lenient the criminal justice system is here in Chicago, Cook County.  I’ve seen people charged with MURDER released on EM.  And with the implementation of the “No Cash Bail” law this year, all but the most serious charges allow arrestees to be released from the station right after being charged and booked.

As painful as it is to learn that two more LEO’s were killed in the line of duty, some consolation is to be had knowing that the offender was permanently removed from this planet in return.  He’ll never have the chance to do anything like this again.

Traffic stops and Domestic Disturbances are the two deadliest types of calls/jobs for coppers. I’m not armchair QBing, just merely commenting… but bringing your ‘A’ Game is mandatory as there’s no such thing as a “routine” traffic stop. Our policies here are so restrictive when it comes to vehicle pursuits, motorists in “certain neighborhoods” have taken to just refusing to pull over as they know the likelihood of being chased is slim to none as supervisors routinely terminate pursuits for everything.  So I guess this in ONE way to minimize exposure to a stop going sideways.

  2. The ‘71 came out of hibernation Friday.  The ‘70 was extracted from her cocoon today. Both gave me no issues starting and felt great on the 10 - 12 mile initial ride.  The AC compressor on the ‘71 gave up the ghost (the pretty green dye in the refrigerant matches the Lime Green Poly perfectly 😂), but whatya gonna do?  New compressor already ordered and hopefully delivered and installed in time for Carlisle.

PS - the day I figure out how to get pictures loaded in sequence is the day Dennis’ feet don’t appear in his pictures

What is that Glen fake grass? What happens when the dog does his business on that? Or does he go somewhere else. I taught my dog toear. go in the neighbors yard 🤣 just kidding she was good, didn't leave our yard unless she was chasing a rabbit.  But as she got older she knew she couldn't catch them so she stopped. She was my buddy I really miss her, I even brought her to a meet at Carlisle one year.

Yes sir, that’s PGA endorsed turf.  I had that installed after I brought the work dog home because I got tired of repairing the grass every spring with 2 dogs destroying it over the winter.  No more muddy paws coming into the house either.

It installs over crushed lime stone/sand just like pavers and has drainage holes.  Both dogs do their business on it and it cleans up just like grass (easier actually as it’s relatively short), however it somewhat holds odor so I hit it with a deodorizer/neutralizer every so often.

I see i am the odd ball again!!!  The guys were here once to do a mow, clean up and fertilize.  They did a good job, although its time to cut again in spots. They told me they wouldn't be back until May first, so i might hit that 1 ft mark also.

However there was a new guy on the blower back pack machine, and now i need a new door on my 10 day in my possession trailer. A conversation that eventually went my way as it was a dead end for him! Don't tell Glen!! lol

    I promise that I won’t say a word, Willie 🤣

And no issues here maintaining the “grass” in my backyard.  Money very well spent 😎

So that's why you have a dog..... They're so easy to blame for so many things. ;)

Most definitely. Babies, too.  The parents of a long ago girlfriend of mine had an “oopsie” baby in their late 40’s.  Girlfriend would have to watch the little guy quite often as her parents both worked.  I can’t tell ya how many times she’d check to see if a diaper change was in order after “someone” crop dusted the room.  It was like a Stooges skit… after the third time or so, it was “OK… now I’m SURE he needs a change”. Aahhhhh, good times…

  6. Beautiful car, Mike. At first glance - and were I in the market -  I’d be a buyer without arguing too much over the asking price. It looks pretty complete from the pix provided.  I’ll enjoy seeing the interior and trunk.

As far as BJ, definitely set a reserve.  And if I were selling this car, I’d shoot higher than 60K. There’s rarely First Gen Montes crossing the block. And there likely aren't too many of the 3,823 SS’s produced left.  And even fewer in this shape and with documentation.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I prefer "selective" memory 🤣 But you are correct,Vicky was there friday. I think I even remember a citizen being a little uneasy walking past

“Selective memory”, you say?  You must’ve been married or in a long term relationship at some point.  It’s a must have self preservation survival skill.

Yeah, there were more than a few unhappy purists that shot dirty looks in my direction.  Quite amusing how easily some people get fired up.

I only count the changes to amuse myself, and deflect on the $$ ive dropped 🤣 I'm not really a car show person but obviously I keep showing up to the meets without a car because of THE PEOPLE.

Last year at Carlisle I had to change my entry from Monte to Suburban 🤣 Didnt care still parked with the club . Someone even tried to park with us with a Blue Oval , they were quickly re-routed to the non-participating parking area 🤣

    I beg to differ…

Come on now!!  if you’re gonna tell a fib, tell the whole fib. I was able to pull off a day of parking with the club.  Looks like “someone“ forgot who they were parked next to on the show field.  Now Day 2?  Yeah…I got busted 😂. Here’s photographic proof as a reminder for those with short memories…

In all honesty I don’t think that many of us members really care about the cars being judged. It’s more about the having fun with the group. I’ve gone to shows and have been told to put the sheets on the dash. I just throw them in the back seat. If they want them, they can find them. lol.

Same here. Before I joined this group, I never entered a show to be judged. To me, it's a $25/year parking space 🤣.

And yet you two continue to judge me on a daily basis.  Oh, the irony…
