There are no minors that are known to me. At this present time.

    Maury says:

”When it comes to 6 year old DJ (🤔… Dennis Jr.?)… Dennis, you ARE the father”!!

[rolling around on the ground as if he’s having a seizure while break dancing and primitive wails of “That’s my boy”!!! from Dennis]

Well I guess couple counseling does work sometimes 🤣

It wasn’t an easy journey. Dennis fought me at every turn. Said some very hurtful things and brought up others that he swore would never see the light of day as long as either of us were still alive.

But we persevered and overcame monumental obstacles.  Joe’s role as unbiased mediator also played a key role.  We’re both better men thanks to this process.

    Love conquers all, Mark.

  3. G67 was available as an option on non-SS models IIRC. However, other confirmation supporting legitimacy would be Box #27 (‘RN’) - as in ‘CRN’ and Boxes #97 & #98 (‘AC-LABELS 454-360HP’).

Bbbuuuutttt… does this partial build sheet actually belong to the car being sold?  I’d lean toward “yes”, as what’s the likelihood of having a partial build sheet to another 1970 Monte Carlo SS?

Serious buyers should demand pictures of any and all numbers on block, trans and diff as well as a picture of the cowl tag to see if the trim and paint color there matches what’s reflected on the build sheet (Boxes #43 and #44).

Doesn’t mean the car couldn’t have changed colors during its lifetime (as it has), but it’s more clues in the right direction as original paint color can surely be located on that car. Front springs (Box #13), Radiator (Box #46) and Column Shift (Boxes #94 and #95) are also clues.

I’m leaning toward legit, but due diligence authenticating would be a must.

    Use SEM dye

Clean first with decreaser, scuffing doesn't hurt either.

Then Bulldog Adhesion promoter then the SEM dye

So this decreaser of which you speak?  Can I assume it eliminates blemishes such as the one pictured below?…

  5. Happy New Year to everyone.  May you all keep any resolutions you may set.  To that end, my resolution is to continue to be the catalyst for FGMCC’s “Coolest Club” designation as bestowed upon us at Carlisle 2023. It’s what I do.

    Agreed, seems really helpful.

Are you going to ask him if he'd consider making them, and how many sets it would take for him to maybe consider it?

I asked him to keep me in mind for the components needed to assemble the whole system. If I don’t hear anything from him in a reasonable amount of time, I’ll send him another message and make the inquiry regarding him making them.

I forgot that I found this guy a while back, I just sent him an email through eBay asking if he reproduces the correct ones for our Montes. I’ll advise once I get a response.  He’s got green and white listed for “Camaro”, but it’s still appears to have a total of three bubbles on the lense.

The gentleman responded to me already.  I mentioned what Rob told me regarding the Monte lenses only having two bubbles, whereas other GM vehicles having three.  here’s what he had to say…

That must be a show to see. I’ve seen a lot of magazine coverage on those and never once saw a First Gen. A lot of rare and super high dollar stuff there.

Oh yeah. Huge money cars.  We were playing “pick any 3 you’d take home if you were rich” and it was almost impossible to narrow it down.

Finally decided on this wheel combo,

I wanted to drift away from the stock rally look and without spending a ton of money for new rims.

The smaller beauty rings were in my junk area and I spent about $100 on Amazon for the smaller derby caps. Both are excellent quality.

I've really never been totally fond of the stock rally combo, especially with raised letters or black walls. I'm hoping this will look good with either the WW, Black or raised letters, giving me a wider range of tires to choose from… I decided on the dark paint because it blends well with the darkened windows…

I've had the side windows dark for over thirty years and so far the cops haven't said anything. Even got a speeding ticket about ten years ago and nothing was said.

Just my two cents… the white wall makes it look too much like a target. Too many “rings”… white wall, black side wall, chrome, trim ring, black wheel and center cap. A black sidewall tire would break it up nicely.  Even raised white lettering would probably look better than the white walls.
