I don’t blame them at all. There’s unwritten rules and codes that demand strict compliance at these shows. I can’t tell you how much it impresses me to see kids at shows who stand with their arms behind their backs as they lean in to take a closer look. I always compliment them and their parents in such instances.
But there’s always at least one or two jackasses who have to get sideways leaving a show. And it’s always inevitably too close to people or cars.
There’s a time and place for everything… Dumping the clutch at 5000 RPM on the way out of a family oriented fest with kids nearby? You’re a special kind of stupid who needs to be talked to when located at the next show.
My local weekly gathering was also cancelled last summer for similar antics. The organizers had lots of signs asking that people not stunt...... But there's always someone.
The mall (property owners) banned the event, and rightly so. There are a lot of pedestrians at the event, and all it takes is one slip to cause harm.

Do you do a lot of driving in the rain ??? lol

Parts Place carries sets as well. But I'm not sure what their stock is like these days.

Worst case scenario is that you could go down to the local pick-n-pull and get a set off of an old car.
Just about any G.M. crank will fit. G.M. liked consistency back then.

I've seen those clips on diesel generators...... If you don't know about the "lever", they're impossible to pull off.
The HEI ignition and tach wires use a similar connector, but it's the plastic cover and clips to the cap.

Not to question your choice, changed my 2.56 to 3.42, was determined I wanted 3.73 but the shop that did it told me every past customer he had put 3.73s in were not happy. I am glad I went with his recommendation, huge difference on take off and still able to cruise at 70 mph.
Even better if you switch to an overdrive transmission.....

And to think 50 years ago most of our Montes were subjigated to winter driving.

Was only ever there once about 10-12 years ago...... Training courses in Mississauga.
Way to much traffic !!!!
And I'm pretty sure Montelishi's enjoying the "low salt" diet out here.

Montelishi spent a good deal of her life in Ontario..... But she seems to like the open spaces out here in the west.
She's a little more rare and unique around here, and I think she likes the attention.

Up where you are, things may be entirely different as far as shipping, for sure. I have guys from Canada send stuff here, then drive over to pick it up. (Amazon, Summit, Rock Auto, etc.)
Wrong Jared, I think...
That'd be a really loooong drive.
