That is beautiful. Don't forget to do the rockers and area under the sill plate in the simi-gloss black.

I need to see where the roof rail weatherstrip holders are on the channel. I took mine off sandblasted & plasti-dipped them. After restoring channels I am not certain. I really only need the top one, I can see the lower one in that pic.
Something like the pic I posted but where I can see the “clips” would be most appreciated!
second pic is of the clips I am referring to.
Thanks

What color is your Monte. My first Monte, (1970 Monte) that I bought, new, off a dealer show room floor in early September of 1970 was Desert Sand color and over the past 20 years I think I have only seen one other Desert Sand 70 Monte.

I call it gold. I had painter match original code. Not sure what the official name of that color is.

But seriously, if it runs good & compression is good I would just change oil more & use the best gas you can. Where I live we have non ethanol & that’s all I use in mine.
As Dtret said carbon cleaning is a risky business. I’m sure other posters will chime in & offer some solutions that they used in the past. -
Might need an Italian Tune up!

You can get complete wiring kits from lots of vendors. There is a forum for parts seeking & selling as well.
The parts place
OPGI
and many other online stores will have that.

I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of parts from OPGI and never had a problem with shipping. I’ve had parts back ordered but it appears on their site in the part listing or rarely I have gotten notified in subsequent email within hours of placing an order that a part is back ordered. They give you the option of canceling if so and if other parts were ordered they do not charge shipping on back orders.
additionally, if you order more than $200 I think it is, shipping is free.I only had one part from them over the years that I was not very satisfied with and that was a dash pad. They could not get the color right (vendor issue I suppose)
Just my two cents

The Parts place is good. OPGI is good & they will send you a Monte Carlo catalog where you can find stuff you didn’t know you needed. they are a tad pricey at times.
good luck
