  1. I’m trying to find these things and need to know what they are called.

UPDATE: they are called Pillar Post Weatherstrip Retainer Clips

they are riveted inside the chrome roof rail weatherstrip channels. Top of door glass closes onto them. 2 per side.
Door glass retaining clips did not get me there. 😟

I can plasti-dip these originals if I have to I guess. but was hoping to find OEM replacements and can’t search it unless I know what they are called.

    Thanks for any help.

Did your intake come black or did you spray it? Looks really damn good.

    Bought it that way.
the original was just toast & I put a Sniper EFI on it. It’s black too.
you can’t really see it but here is a pic

Isn't the original back glass mounting design terrible!

If they only would have brought the trunk lid all the way to the glass then the water could run down to the bumper area and stay clean and dry. My 76 Thunderbird had a trunk lid like that. No problems.....

When I was ‘discovering’ the lower back glass rot issues a good buddy was with me in the shop. We took out the glass & as it became apparent that it was bad, he said “Typical of their sickly breed!”  And he was damn right.

If  you still have the back glass out you can install some drain tubes in the corners of your Monte.( Nice bye the way ). They are petcock pieces from AutoZone. I have them on mine and draw water from the corners when it is rained on, (Rarely) . the tubes run down to the check holes in outer trunk fenderpost-259-0-07078100-1478003026_thumb.jpeg piece.  I like the color of yours ?  Here is a picture of mine. It's been restored since '08, no issues.post-259-0-93319100-1480263543_thumb.jpg.  They are about an 1" from bottom of corner drilled into to the rear package tray lip.  Hope this helps.

Auto zone huh? I will check it out. Thanks for that tip!

That's odd, they wanted something like $190 or more if memory serves correct. Enough that I looked mine over and said 'no way'. Like Dennis, I flipped them so the wear pattern was down. Did you call them, or just look online at their catalog? (I think my interior may still be the cover car for the M/C catalog)

I'll try to dig thru the old invoices and see if there's a part number or reference when I get home later.

I just looked online. They’re closed today
