Nice work! Looks good.

I'm not sure about the screw size, but the rubber part is very close to the original part.

They are a high pressure, low volume pump that operates by engine vacuum. There are 3 small check valves inside that must be clean and have the seats in good condition in order to build pressure.
If it works, it's best to air up the system to about 100 psi with your shop air hose, and then let the compressor take the pressure up from there. The compressor should automatically stop at around 120 psi, give or take a few pounds.

Looking good. How much can they do on a front end alignment with no weight on the car?

Good job! Just do whatever you can, when you can. It'll come together.

Great looking car! Congratulations on your purchases!

The back drive linkage is used with the floor shifted automatics to turn the collar on the steering column to keep the shifter from being moved out of Park when the key is off, and lock the steering wheel.
On floor shifted cars, the gear indicator is on the console lid, and the neutral safety switch is inside the console.
Access to the plugs is not an issue.

My ARH headers are 1 7/8" and fit great, but I had the body off when I installed them. There's easy access to the oil filter and the factory starter. I've had zero heating issues with the combination valve for the brakes, and it's still located in the factory position on the frame. The only issue I found was when I was going to reinstall the back drive linkage from the TH400 to the steering column. The headers don't have the needed clearance for that. I plan to modify the linkage, but haven't gotten to it, yet. It's not really necessary to have it. Here are some pics I haven't posted before.

You're welcome. No, not behind the rear tire. The wide trim that covers that area has black on it to match the other areas.

Very nice!

Thank you for your purchase! I'm very glad that you're happy with it.
For those that are hard to buy Christmas gifts for, you may want to drop a hint on someone about these detent plates. I'm offering all designs for $90 each and free shipping until 1/1/20 to all in the 50 states. All others will need to pay $90 and can get $5 off of actual shipping costs. I don't charge any handling fees. Some guys are replacing their Shiftworks/Thomson detent plate with my True Slap detent. I have a satisfaction guarantee, and I'm proud to say that I've not had one person send one back for a refund.

I have the same block from Kansas City. It has the same font, and I've seen others just like it. The first part of the stamping was done at the Tonowanda engine plant. The second stamp was done at the assembly plant and it's not unusual for the Kansas City plant to stamp theirs "upside down". The Tonawanda stamp on mine was struck twice.

Now I can't find the other thread about these parts. Where is it?

Nice work! It's going to be a great car. Thanks for posting the photos.

You're doing a great job! I've been through the same process, and I know how much work you've done. Thanks for the great write up, and the photos. The information about the seals and felts will help some of us. I used Metro and had good luck with their seals. I hadn't heard about Precision, but I knew Soffseal was not a good choice.

Paul, that's the show it was at. I talked to a fellow Monte owner at a show at Ottawa, KS last summer that knows Tim Pestinger. He said Mr Pestinger was invited and was paid to attend the show where these photos were taken.
I wonder how much it takes to get that car at an event.

I don't remember the name of the event, but it was about 2 years ago, to the day.

Thank you to all of you. The idiot was on the news the other day. He was arrested on drug charges. Selling meth and cocaine. I hope he's off the road for a long time.
