Thoughts and prayers continuing. Come on Rob keep fighting.
Thanks for the update Dan. As Capri said we are always looking at this thread waiting for him to get better. Come on Rob!!!

Yours look great Bob, but do they make a paint or dye for them?
-
Get well soon Rob. Thoughts and prayers. Dan and Dave thanks for keeping us updated.

I would agree with Sam alittle expensive but he does fantastic work. I know Jared has the middle piece (nos), give him a shout.

Thanks Darren, I seen in the other post about the wipers, What are they and what do they do? That would be cool if you had them on yours, i never heard of them before.
I dont think there factory they do not look the same. I am still guessing alarm.
Thanks for digging if you get a chance.

Hey Darren thanks again, The new harness is actually the old harness all cleaned up. Cant believe it cleaned up that nice. There were no bad or broken wires on this harness so i decided to try and clean it first and then go from there. The sniped wires that were there, were actually the radio and front speaker harness. The fuse block lost some of its lettering when it got cleaned, i will try and locate another before i insall it.
As i was checking today, before install i am not sure how to route the harness nor do i know how to hang or mount it. I looked at my parts cars, 1 has the dash in and cannot see much on the pass side, the other car has no dash but the harness has been torn down. Does anyone have a pic of this so i can start to install this weekend???
Darren the car is equiped with the under dash lighting, i think thats in the dash harness already, so i should be able to just plug ends into the door pins, right? Another question i have 2 door pin holes for each side, i am guessing 1 is for interior light and the other for a alarm of some kind. What do you think??
Thanks for all the help

I used wd-40 on the rubber boots for elec windows inbetween the door and frame, worked great.

How does this look compared to the other
Still havent decided on the front harness and the starter harness. I will let you know when i get to that point.

Jared, looks Sharp.

Looks great Dan!!!

Ulf, be positive. I found mine in the seat.
I am alittle ahead of you, but as fast as you are going you will pass me next week.lol The rust your car has is minimal compared to mine.
Welcome to the club.
Good luck on your project.

Andy you crack me up!!!

Thanks Carl, Will see as i still havent checked on mine yet. Hopefully this weekend.

Hey Carl, this car is a '72 custom 'w' code it has factory gauges, with the tach. It also has the ZJ9 lighting group option, (a light for just about everything). I am open to suggestions right now. Others also gave me some great ideas, and places to go. I called Leo he said he had nothing at this time for me, but he also sugggested M&H for a new one. I am going to check the other parts cars this weekend (if i have the time, might be working) and see what is good with them.
L
Carl let me know if you have anything that might help me out. Thanks Willie

I like MG do not recall anything in the hose when i took mine apart, ('72) however they were in pretty bad shape when i removed them. The fuel tubes were even rotted out, so i just chucked them.
-
Thanks Guys, thats where i will start. Not sure what i will do just yet but atleast i have some options.
Thanks Again everyone for all the help

Thats what i thought, no sense in trying to patch it up and then all the bull dealing with it later.
I am going to look at the parts cars front harness and block and see what that looks like and take it from there.
As Maasai asked where do i order one from? and does it come with the fuse block?
Thanks for the help guys

great going Dave, keep it up!!!lol

More pics, these are the front clip harness's
Some are starter harness, very bad. Some are front clip harness, also bad.
What do you guys think? I am saying to myself, they dont look good at all. I dont want to do all that work and after installing them have all kinds of problems.
Am i wrong?

Those last set of pics were the dash harness and the last 2 pics of a small harness not sure where it goes yet.

Some pics of the UGLY stuff
-
Yes Sam, i might, but have to go over them first. I just started to pull the rear trunk harness apart and found 5 more seperations. So i took the one out of the parts car, much better shape. The only thing with that is the parts car was built in Canada and for some reason this harness was wrapped in the sticky cloth tape, unlike my harness wrapped in just plastic tape, so the new harness is going to take something alittle stronger than spray 9. lol. But i might buy a new front harness after i take that one apart.
-
Thanks for that guys,
I just checked the other 3 harnesses.
1)the main dash harness has 11 or 12 wires sniped
2)the front clip and starter harness has 15 or more wires sniped or pulled apart or shredded. all the sockets are shot.(ohhhh boy)
3)the tail harness has 1 sniped and 1 bad socket.
Various small harnesses seem to be ok, i can clean and retape these, just dont know where they go just yet.
I will get you guys some pics, but i am warning you they are UGLY!!!lol
Would any of these harnesses be differant for a big block or small block? All my parts cars are small blocks, but the cars i am rebuilding are all big blocks.
Scott i will run some flat rope through the plastic harness just in case i decide later to run auto trunk opener. Thanks
