Dan Welcome to the club!!! As Joe said they are for the console light all the way in the back of the console. It lights up the rear compartment. Yes there is a lens that is on a piece of the console, its separate from the console, i think it attaches with 2 screws. But it does attach this piece to the rear of the console.
Be careful after installing Bulb. I fixed mine some years back and made the mistake of grabbing the Lit Bulb and was not smart! It gets very hot. I was worried the heat would melt the Lens once I applied some salve on my torched fingers...

Those letters are for lack of the correct term, Silk Screened on at Factory. I have never seen a adhesive style replacement offered. Unsure what you could do otherwise. All (3) years 1970,71,72 Bezels are identical for letter style. 1972 Bezel in January 1972 had a seat belt warning light/buzzer included & Mandated that wasn't available for 1972 Montes prior to 1972 generally speaking. Mine built in December 12 1971 & did not have that seat belt window displayed in Bezel as it was not Federally Mandated until Jan. 1, 1972.
If you come up with a fix, let us know how you did it for future reference.

Spotted another one on Facebook. Sent owner a message about vehicle but no reply as yet. Has the Custom Badges, Steering Wheel of note. I believe to be authentic to the vehicle. As always, I will make modifications as they become known. Those who have their vehicle in the Data Base I encourage you to review your vehicles amenities and advise if anything missing or changed that meets the criteria.
These are becoming harder and harder for me to find & am not relentless searching these days. But as found, will continue providing that information. In your travels you spot one, take the time to explain interest if possible, direct them where their info can be documented + any info you feel relevant. When contacted, I direct them to the FGMCC page where to view Data Base for them to get an idea on what I am looking for and to Validate my request. There were several over the past 5 or so years that did not reply to my request for information that were largely Facebook. I can only surmise they we not authentic of which at least some may have been. You will find those on the right side column.
Until next Update, Peace Out....

I have acquired a 4 Position Driver Power Buck Seat Track that has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled and Tested! Track performs quietly in Full Back/Forward, Up/Down positions. The Power Seat Control Switch operates flawlessly & firmly in ALL Positions with chrome face in used average appearance. Included is Original Transmission Drive Belt, Transmission Cover, no cracks, no breaks, gouges or deteriorating material lose . The seat Apron (no damage) affixing the Power Seat Switch & (2) Toe Guards included. (1) Toe Guard Split down corner with (2) places material broken & missing - (Used black electrical tape to Secure) while the other is in perfect condition with Both useable with retainers included.
The cleaning was done on track assembly's using wire brush(s) as the amount of rust was minimal & really cleaned up nicely where was able to get at for a Factory Appearance (no clear coat or other application used on Tracks). I did media blast the Transmission/Motor Plate bridging both Tracks and the rear Up/Down rear actuator arm media blasted. The transmission was opened, pieces removed and those parts lubricated with Vaseline & replaced. The Motor was opened one end and again, Vaseline used to lubricate where applicable. The Forward/Back Drive Motor Up/Down Drive lubricated and both Drive Cables Lubricated. Used Graphite to lubricate Seat Tracks completing the renovation.
I have no prior information where it come out of or how used! I can attest to how it operates today with ALL Functions Operating easily and completely.
I am offering it up to any Member who has use for it with ALL components as described above. The Power Cable to fuse block appears to have been cut and not sure if had a connector attached where cut. Used a set of Jumper Cables to power/ground Unit for Testing. Power Seat Track ran smoothly full forward/back and full up/down positions as indicted earlier. I will offer to a Club Member at $595.00 & any shipping costs yet determined. Am going to Club Western Meet in September and can deliver there to avoid shipping cost for those attending the 2024 Western Meet if interested. Photo's are actual Unit. If I had missed anything, just shoot me a PM & will reply ASAP. 1st who respond's with interest retains 1st right to purchase at price identified in Post, then 2nd, 3rd ect!! I have more Pic's available if needing more Visuals.......

Nah, won't work here either.
Is it an attachment, or a link to a website Doug? It just wants to process it as an image, and when copying the link over to a browser page, it just chokes.
It was sent to me via email and not a Link! Even in my email where I received it from, I had to link it to the File Name for me to open it. I will see if it will open in my computer files where stored. News at 11:00..... Okay, I can view in from my download files, shown on Real Player. So I believe it needs a photo program for it to open. This is the file name 862c1b5d-2410-4ed5-bda9-981c6318 that I used to open it in photo program from file mager Download. Unsure which direction to go from here.

It wouldn't open for me. It's a PNG File type, so unsure how/where to convert. If I figure it out, will try again;

Connect the wire to the Door Switch (found under & alongside) Glove Box passenger side. Make the connection to the same feed that powers behind the Door Switch so that Lights come on when door opened and off when door closed. Lay down on passenger side floor and look up behind door switch where you will see where to connect & same on driver side. Can't remember if it has a lone post or simply connected on one post. Limited space made it somewhat difficult to get hand up there. Guess you could remove or drop glove box for easier access but don't know if more work following that method. Been several years since I did this.

does the 1970 monte window felts come with the chrome strip on the outside wiper seal? I ordered a Repops
Replacement Felt Kit for 1970-1972 Chevy Monte Carlo w/Special MoldingPart Number : 629-MT107R and it does not have chrome on the outside, just on the door panel felt.I chatted with tech support at JEGS and they say I need a MT-106A. Anybody order these recently?ThanksHi Terrence,
There are 2 types of window felts for our Montes 1970-72. The window felts with the chrome bead is for a non-Belt Molding while the window felts without chrome bead are for the optional belt molding. I believe either will work but that chrome strip may interfere with the belt molding & reason for the difference.

After reviewing the comments, I need to get my eye's rechecked! Didn't even notice the Glove Box door to start with.
Nice to know we have a very observant group that can pick out the details. When another appears, I will take more care in Posting it/them.

Under Hood could stand some cleaning but the exterior and Interior pic's look reasonable.

Did the 1972,, 350 come with a 400 Tranny ?
It was not standard equipment with the 350 CI Engine. I suspect you could have special ordered it however.

Non A/c has 3 levers for control while A/C cars have 2 levers + the Dash Vent where on non A/C has a delete plate where Vent would have been on A/C cars if that explains it for you. Basically, A/C 2 levers, Non A/C 3 levers...
