Okay so I need a type 3 carrier?

Well that's nice. Does anyone know how to get the bulb out of the rear view mirror map ight?

I have the interior lighting package (not sure what the build sheet code is off the top of my head but...) and when I got my MC it did not have a lightbulb in the ashtray, but the wire going from the gauges to the ashtray was there. Does anyone know what fixture goes in the ashtray? Does anyone have a picture by chance? I've never seen one, thanks everyone.

Yea I think I mis-read the article haha. The highest ratio I plan to put in is no more than you suggest Allen. So how do you tell what carrier I have? And what should I have?

Does anyone know how to tell if you have type 1,2,3 or 4 12-bolt rear end? I want to put a larger ratio in but can't proceed until I know whether it will fit. I came across this in the most recent Hemmings Motor News, and it said that type 1 rear ends cannot have anything higher than 2.73. I don't have the article in front of me and that's all I remember. My current setup is a 12 bolt with a 2.73:1 with a TH350. Any help is appreciated.
