  1. That pump sure looks cool but it still looks to long to fit? it's one of those thinks you don't know till ya try it!
  2. Thanks for the info and links! I don’t think I want to cut into the frame (great picture by the way) but that is an option! And using an electric pump to feed the mechanical pump is in interesting idea! All the reviews I read said the same as you David the race pump had problems and they gave up. Did you use there gasket and fuel regulator? They are calming that’s a must do. As far as the headers…I went with the Schoenfeld as well. Thanks Mike
  3. Hey guys, this is my first real post. I've done a lot of reading on this site but not much posting. I wanted to know if anyone in running a Dart SHP block with a mechanical fuel pump over 80GPH. I have a Dart SHP 406 with Pro 1 215 heads, a big cam & Quick Fuel 850 carb. I can’t find a large volume mechanical fuel pump to clear the K member. The Holley 12-327-11 did not fit. I was at S/K Speed yesterday and compared that Holley to the Edelbrock and Carter. They appeared to be exactly the same. A friend showed me a pump in JEGS, a “Race Pump 1500” it’s a whole new design and $309. The reviews are not that good and I’m not even sure if it will fit. The other option would be to go electric?
  4. I just put the Shiftworks detent in yesterday. I went with a 700R4 so I used there upgrade kit that converts the stock 3 speed shifter to a 4 speed(PN SC2242). It came with the detent, new trans cable bracket, new shifter bracket, all hardwear needed and the lens that has 1 2 3 D instead of 1 2 D. The new detent allows you to shift without having to worry about going into neutral. There is a stop between each gear. The only problem I had was the cable that was in the car was not long enough. I got one from Shiftworks that was fully adjustable at both ends. It seems to work really good. I have not yet tried it on the streey yet (to much snow & salt on the roads still)The kit also came with great instructions that made it easy.
