  1. well its a 275/60 on a 7 inch rim. i have rear pro-stars 15x8 for it but dont want to run the bfg drag radials. looking into buying Hoosier Quick time pros, right now those bfgs have no chance with the power its putting down.
  2. just a small block with a D1sc, makes about 8 pounds of boost.
  3. thanks for the comments. i call the color cream. when i bought the front bumper they didnt have any 72 front bumpers in fiberglass or i just couldnt find one. i guess i could build some sort of tubing leading towards the intercooler.
  4. you all have seen motor pics now car pics.
  5. montique

    s/b headers

do you have straight or angled heads. how much access to spark plugs.
  6. patriot performance make the 3/4 length headers in 1 3/4 size. they fit great. i had the same problem and just bought the patriots. there is plenty of clearance. not really sure how much low end they would give up though.
  7. thanks for the comments, im going to go with the hoosiers and keep the bfg for street use, the 1.77 still had the front sway bar on and the front end is really tight. looking into buying some santhuff front springs. just need to get it weighed.dave which shocks did you put on the front of the monte.
  8. well i have the bfg drag radials on there now. the best 60 was a 1.77 and that was creeping out of the whole, never could launch it hard. the M/T sounds like the best option, i understand regardless i will still have to dial in the suspension with a better tire. it has strange single adjustables out back, UMI adjustable uppers solid lowers and 12in 150lb springs out back.
  9. im looking into either buying M/T drag radials or the Hoosier Quick time Pros. has anybody ran these, have any pros and cons. i was going to go with the drag radials but i here there they can be hit or miss, mostly a street car maybe see track 5 times a year.
  10. did you use the stock shafts or upgrade to their upper control arm shaft. i need to loosen up the front end to get the weight transfered and it seems those are the way to go with stock arms.
  11. In the next couple of months im going to be upgrading front control arm bushings. does anybody have any experience with the Del-A-Lum bushings from global west are AFCO has there light weight bushings.
  12. well depends if it will hook!!
  13. well im not sure on horsepower numbers but hopefully around 650. could be way off will be able to figure out once i get it to the track. i will only be running around 10lbs of boost to start out. i still need to get it weighed and order front springs. well a big block would be nice, but had to work with what i got. it should be able to keep up with some big blocks though.
  14. intercooler is in the stock location of the radiator. moved radiator back like 4 or 5inches with brackets.
  15. its finally coming around.here are some pics. 383 d1sc,brodix top end kit with track 1 heads, small hyd roller, csu carb, eagle 4340crank,rods,je blower pistons, arp fasteners and studs, msd 6al and btm, goals are to run around 6.40s or 6.50s 1/8th mile and very streetable. http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz21/tmungle72/Tylersstuff016.jpg?t=1285802340 http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz21/tmungle72/Tylersstuff023.jpg?t=1285802830 http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz21/tmungle72/Tylersstuff020.jpg?t=1285802904
  16. well a very tame small block with a small P1sc or maybe a smaller p600 will make those numbers. are you talking 500 to the ground or flywheel. order the procharger packet with all their info. its got a lot of good info.
  17. thanks for the info. as for now im going to only be running 7 pounds of boost. im going to get the c-clip eliminators and see how the eaton and axles take it. its a street car and i could deal with the turning radius it has weld prostars 15x3 in front anyway. no hard launches from transbrake just be off the stahl convertor around 3400. if the axles call it quits then it will be spool and strange 33 spline axles.
  18. check out procharger. im going to be running a d1sc i have no hood clearance problems. i also have a 4 inch cowl hood. how much horse are you trying to make? i thought about a big block instead of a small block with a procharger. in the long run it would probably be cheaper to build a big block n/a. but thats just me.
  19. well right now im waiting for the procharger to come in. im working on finishing that budget and whats left over to rearend. regardless i got to upgrade. right now i think the strange axle and spool package is the best. strange is the only company hat said there c-clip eliminators wont leak. that would be there hy/tuff axles. i really leaning now towards the spool. thanks for the info.
  20. well ive heard the horror stories for spools on the street. i have a eaton posi with 4.10 gears now. im looking at about 650-700 horsepower max to the ground. im going to upgrade my axles but dont know will the 30 spline size hold. does anybody know if i send my posi in to get it with a different spline so i could run bigger axles. it is going ot be street strip car. thanks.
  21. well they are expensive, alot of extra parts just to run one right. im also wondering about rear suspension. i dont know to go with rear lift bars or single or double adjustable lower control arms. its mostly going to a street car but you know every now then take it to the strip.
  22. im in the middle of buying a procharger d1sc. i having a blower friendly 383 9.0 compression brodix track 1 topend kit, eagle crank and rods and je pistons. i was wondering if anybody had any tuning advice or info. im still in the process of stepping the fuel system up and axles. thanks.
