  1. There has never been an issue for me jacking it up that way....but more what I see here is I would NEVER do that with the car running and no jack stands under the frame...that kind of plan is what keeps me working(fire/medic)HAHAHAHA....I have been fighting a leak for the last year it only leaks in reverse but last night I my ride home, ummmm looks like I will be pulling the trans friday) she started to act up in 3rd about 4 blocks from home....good thing I have a good and cheap for the most part trans guy....best friend of my son said he would rebuild completely for cost of parts...yey for me all that giving to my kid may pay off for me for a change....lol
  2. The 72 was upset you didn't take the "girls" for a ride in her...LOL And yes true car guy/girl fashion, rinsing the blood off first...
  3. Gave her a proper hand bath...for those in the chigao area...radio host Dick Biondi)WLS FM is hosting a car show at a Chevy dealer on June 11th and I put my car up on their website and they asked me to be in the show, I guess it is by invite only) so 5 hours later...I decided all that work meant I could take her for a long drive today...I love my girl....
  4. it is amazing what a good hand bath will do..
  5. Wow, I am glad I was running around in the website today...mine has an edelbrock on her now she is missing something I so loved with my first...the nice fuel when running normal with her and then that AWESOME growl of the Q-Jet, when the secondary's are sucking air. I just worked a del wiith RIznitch for the one off his 72 custom and well while he said it was rebuilt a year ago and recommends I should have it reubuilt I will be running to Barnes and noble today because their website says they have this book in stock. If this book is as good as Mark rates it I may do the rebuld myself.. Thank You..and thanks again Rich for the carb...
  6. Sam that car is absolutely beautiful still. I liked that car the first time I saw her and she just makes me more envious every time I see her....AWESOME job on the work done that is a lot of work...
  7. After looking at the link NateZ posted that took me to the Eastwood website. They sell a chevy rally paint set, I went out and looked at mine on the car. I do believe they are all original the more I look at them, ALL 4 are black on the backside of the rim. Which does go with the one I bought to make my spare(with the black over the lip to the inside of the rim about an inch or so.
  8. Many moons ago when I had the first monte. I had a Tach mounted towards the right fside of the col towards the clock. It was not as large as some of the ones I see on here. I had to work it on there a little but after a few trys got it too sit right so I could see it and didn't block the key or the col shifter.
  9. Where did you get the Argent silver paint(name of maker)? I just picked up a rally for a spare. The funny thing with it once the tire came off the back does look like it was black at one point someone paitned it silver. Inside the wheel the black line is about 1 to 1.5 inches inside the rear lip. I thought it looked pretty funny.
  10. I didn't know him, but in seeing some of the post I saw he seemed like an AWESOME man, my condolences to the family for sure...
