That's not a great way to start the season, hope you can get it touched up

I just carefully took it apart, cleaned all the parts. Made a new gasket and resealed and reassembled it

You should be able to unbolt the master cylinder and carefully get the booster out and bolt the master cylinder bolted back on. I haven't done it but I think I read somewhere it could be done. Someone please confirm

Yes, my non tilt column was painted green and it has a more finished look. I painted the hub on my stainless wheel before I had the tilt column All personal taste i guess.
