You’re welcome Tom. It’s what we do. Probably about time I contribute something useful.
Oh we're supposed to contribute some thing that's useful? Oh crap I'm not very useful I thought it's all fun and games 🤣

They do look much better for sure. I guess the only way to know for sure is cut the old section out and see how they actually look.

Does he have the old ones to compare them to? Anything is possible I guess. I put bucket seats from a corvair in my 64 impala wagon worked well had room between them to lay down use back seat for headrest. I won't tell you what that was useful for 😅😉

They had a news conference this morning with some new information as well as the old. Dave Kindig and Kevin dog will be there all 3 days and will be bringing a couple cars that they built. Also the county kicked In some cash and they will increase advertising to make show even bigger and better. They are trying to make this show the biggest and best in the country over the next few years. Also the midway tent will be back up this year for bands in the evening. So no really new and huge information but only 110 days until the show. Also announced that over 80 thousand dollars was raised for local charity's and something like 10 million went into local economy so that's something. Gonna be a good time for sure.

Yes I've used them for years in chevys, the older ones that is. For me they lasted longer than ac delco stuff.

Thats how I look at it too. The "reward" comes from the trip mostly, but also the folks in the club. I love driving the Monte and bench racing. It's always an adventure and not to be missed.
The event itself is, to me, the same old same old..... same vendors and same sitting around near cars. (yawn)
I agree 100 % I'd never drive that far just to go to a show, it's all about the people, the fun we have and the bench racing. My car is not an award winner and I don't care it's all about the fun, the people and have made some great friends along the way.

If anyone needs Brad Penn oil they usually have a booth at the Syracuse nationals and will deliver to your car. Only sell cases I believe.

I liken it to the medical profession. The dr. prescribes medication for an issue, but that medication creates side effects so they prescribe another medication. Next thing you know you have the medication box with the days of the week and all the slots are full.
Get used to that my friend, the older you get the more Dr's you have to see. Since I retired it's seems like I have at least one or two dr appointments every week and a handful of pills to take a day.

I feel bad for you guys with the snow! Glad its only raining down here!!!
Just talked to my brother again ender up with 19 inches but he got his snowblower fixed at least. He had to build a piece on his lathe to do it but got it done. Nice having a machine shop in your garage and the knowhow to use it.

Willie from what I understand anything older than 10 years old and not registered and never been stolen or major components stolen is considered history. It used to be that way it may be different now with the computer technology.

Hey Steve just for the heck of it, how long did your brother own the 26 Ford before he tried to register it?
There was never actually a car he built everything except the body (which never had a vin) he built the frame which is where the Vin tag was back then. The 27 he is doing now is same thing he built the complete frame so probably have to do same thing. Here's the frame he built for the 27. The 26 is all tubular stainless steel.

It's actually not unusual for us this time of year but it's been so nice in February and early March I was hoping it stayed that way. Wishful thinking I guess. 🤔

I've used frams before, wix, k&n Purolator, napa gold never seen much of a difference but I only put about 1000 miles a year. Last year don't think I did that because I couldn't walk to the car.

Tracey, that's quite a collection of cars you have there. You should think about full membership and join up in Carlisle in June. Hopefully you like what you see here.
