I changed the ownership of my 71 SS in to my name today and that was the sweetest part of my day. The bitter part of my day? Well let's put it this way....I will expect a thank you in the mail soon from our government for the huge amount of sales tax I had to pay...13% on appraised value here in good old Ontario. I also ordered some Moog cargo coils and fresh insulators today to give her a little better stance and I pick them up tomorrow. My new headlight knob should be here any day now as well. I still can't believe she is sitting in my garage.

Very nice Mike. Restoring it to the original colour is a great idea. Seems that we picked our cars up the same week. I'm a newby on here though and I'm really enjoying the car and this site. Mine is a 1971 SS black on black with buckets etc in great condition and 68,000 miles on it. I'll have some photos up in a couple of days. I'm just a little north of you in Ontario.

Hi Dan, thought I'd chime in from way up here in the North. Your car is looking great and you do fine work. Well done! It seems that you enjoy it as well and that can be so rewarding. Good luck with the rest of the restoration.
