Hey Jeff the radio will fit a Monte and Chevelle dash . The Monte dash and the Chevelle SS dash are the same other than the Monte having the woodgrain. It will also fit the regular Chevelle sweep dash.

I was at work that day in Manhattan. I was working in my building near the Empire State building  listening to Howard Stern when he said that a plane hit the trade center,I and some of my coworkers went to the roof of the building and to our horror saw the tower on fire then got another shock when we watched another plane hit the second tower.We stood in the middle of 5th Ave and watched the terrible events unfold that day. That day and every time I think of it I think of a young man around my age at the time mid 20 s that would get on my bus each day at the trade center stop. After the clean up and the streets were open to buses months later the bus stoped at the trade center stop but the young man  never got on the bus again. I don't know what happened to him ,if he is married ,kids like myself now or he was one of the people lost that day. Makes me thank God for each day.

May be the torque converter. Sometimes when you have a bigger cam and a stock stall speed converter it is "to tight" and can cause this problem.

That's very cool !!! My favorite movie. I have this emblem on my 36 Ford.Just my opinion about the movie but I prefer the first race between Falfa and Milner then the one at the end.

1972 did not come with air cleaner cubic inch and hp rating stickers. GM changed the way they rated HP in 72 so supposedly it was bad for appearance and marketing to put the new lower HP rating.

[Header and oil pan advice - 70 MC 454]

We use stock big block oil pans on our cars 1970 Monte "Big Red" has gone low 11s in the quarter mile and our 84 Cavalier has gone hundreds of 9 second passes with a stock GM pan with no issues.
