I opened my latest box from OPGI, usual product disappointments, but I'll make it work. Not all bad stuff but nothing ever seems to just plug in, lol. Finishing my complete interior restoration on my 70 SS. I bought this car from a collector who passed . He had done everything, engine, trans, complete body, exhaust ect. except the interior that was gutted. I thought it would be quick and easy but it's been a challenge to get it the way I want. I have way too many cars and trucks so my ADD does not help. I promise to post some pictures of "Oreo" someday soon. Peace.
I look forward to seeing the progress. I ordered my interior stuff from a few different vendors depending on the product I needed. You still have time to get it ready for the Western Meet in September. 😁

That sucks Aaron. It's always something. Did he say what happened to cause the issue?

There’s several little plugs in a small block. One decided to leak. The builder said out of the hundreds of small blocks he has rebuilt this is only the second plug he has had leak. I wasn’t too critical. Stuff happens. He came over and did all the work to reinstall a plug and seal it up.

Made 1K in two years 😮 I'm gonna say Aarons delivered price is a better investment , not to mention well detailed during ownership.
Actually lost money because they paid $61,600 with the buyer commission and sold it for $57k.

Sold for $57,000 plus commission. Instead of $62,700 they could have had my 71 SS for $55k. 😁

Agreed. I’ve used those auveco clips too. I would not use the factory style metal ones again.

That car was not on this level either. I seen it in person a few years back.
There was certainly some attention to detail needed from what I saw.

It is optioned really well. Not sure if they seller will make any money though but would likely sell in the same range. Time will tell.

$60k is in the ballpark. There was a nice red 70 SS454 that sold recently at auction for around $65k. I have my 71 SS454 for sale also in that same price range.

The car was built in Oct. of 1971 at the Van Nuys plant in according to my built sheet and Ident-o- plate
OK, the seat belt light wasn't required yet so it makes sense yours doesn't have it. That woodgrain insert is certainly a unique conversation piece you have.

Note that the seat belt light was not required until January 1972 so there are many 72s without the light. My low mile unrestored 1972 I just sold was built in December 1971 and did not have the seat belt light.
Yours appears to be stamped for the seat belt light but was not cut out. Maybe a few were made that way during the transition. I would imagine it is pretty rare like that. What month was the car built?

Here's an unrestored 72 with 11,000 miles. I pulled off the original hood insulation. The fenders were repainted at some point so there's a slight bot of gold overspray on the driver's side.

If it hasn't already been said, it was black.
