I just ordered a set for my 72. I wish i knew of these when I was restoring the 70. I purchased the original type for the 70 from a Chevy dealer back in 2000. I tried the dealer for the original type today but they could not get them anymore.

I run BFG 255/60/15s on my 70 Monte (all original drivetrain) and my speedo reads about 7% too high. I think it's because my tires are a slightly smaller diameter than stock. I tested it during my drive to the western Meet using the mile markers. I tested it several time during the drive and got the same 7% result each time. You are running 245/60/15s which would throw it off even further (11% in your case).

Installed the rotor back on the car and put the washer on. After that, install the nut and tighten (see Dave's comments below). Also install a new cotter pin. Job is done! Did you have as much fun as I did? [edited by Aaron July 31/11] -
