  1. From the album: 72 Wheel Bearing Replacement

I removed the inner bearing and gave the rotor a quick wipe. I still need to remove the race from the rotor.
  2. From the album: 72 Wheel Bearing Replacement

Inner bearing in rotor. There was a seal in the back of the rotor I had already pried out.
  3. From the album: 72 Wheel Bearing Replacement

Front spindle. Removed cotter pin, nut and rotor. I had a vibration issue in the 72 which turned out to be the driver's side front wheel bearing. I have never changed these before but thought I'd give it a shot.
  4. Here's some info: http://www.fgmcc.com/tech/buildsheet.shtml
  5. That trailer would look cool with a vinyl top, LOL
  6. I think if you drove to both meets, you deserve a special award.
  7. I updated the western Meet page on the site. Further updates will be made as I receive the information. I'm not sure why I'm so excited already since it is still over 10 months away. I guess I've just been looking at this event for many years and now I'm looking forward to finally attending it.
  8. These guys organizing the event are fantastic. They are going to ensure we have a nice place for the group and will fit to our schedule. Sounds like we will be getting the red carpet treatment. The more I look at the photos from the 2010 event, the more I'm falling in love with the event. So much to do during the weekend.
  9. Yes, Jake works for Enterprise now. J/K, LOL.
  10. I've been looking at some hotel options. If you see something you like let me know. Royce is going to drive to Boise and check out what hotels are suitible.

  13. That rock formation was a full size recreation of Stonhenge. It was a nice drive out there to get those photos and more great views of the area.
  14. It looks like I'll have a 2-day drive to get there but the drive through Eastern Washington and Oregon is very nice. Looking forward to another nice cruise in the Monte. April and I are thinking that it will be just the 2 of us without the kids.
  15. Thanks for taking those videos Davey!
  16. Less than 11 months to go ... Is it too early to start these posts, LOL.
  17. Northwest Motorfest Boise, ID July 8-10, 2011 http://www.rpmprod.com/2011_Motorfest_Information.html 2011 Western Meet Page: click here This will be the largest event that the FGMCC has attended for the Western Meet with nearly 1,000 cars expected. Northwest Motorfest includes a show, cruising, stop light drags, burnout contests, and more. Based on the initial response from members, the 2011 meet should have another great turnout. I will post updated information regarding the accommodations as it becomes available. If you want to provide any suggestions on how to make the meet better, please feel free to email or send me a private message. I will see you there!
  18. That is owned by Robert Calderon of Fresno, CA. Very nice car. The FGMCC best chrome award was no contest. He was at the 2005 and 2007 Western Meets also.
  19. Roy made it. e had the Chevy banner and just put one of the large FGMCC decals on it. It looks great.
  20. I made it home from the meet today. Wow! What a great meet. We have some great people in this club and we sure had a lot of fun. I had very little sleep over the 4 nights but it was worth it. Getting up early and staying up chatting until late in the evening. It is so hard to put into words what it is like seeing 20 Montes all in one place and enjoying everyone's company. What a blast! http://s924.photobucket.com/albums/ad81/Aaron70Monte/Car%20Shows/2010%20FGMCC%20Western%20Meet/ I'll put together a page for the site with a detailed assessment of the weekend events and compile the best of all the photos taken. I can't wait until next year!
  21. Made it to Langley yesterday (Vancouver, BC area) to visit with family and now off to The Dalles this morning. I hope to make it to Tacoma mall before 11am.
  22. Got it Doug. we'll see you tomorrow.
  23. Using Canadian gallons, I get between 23-24 MPG on the highway. Good to hear you got the day off mark. I will see you Friday. I'm all packed and ready to go. April, the kids and I are leaving for my parents' house Langley (Vancouver, BC area) tomorrow which about a 4 hour drive. I then head straight South on my trek to The Dalles. Tacoma is where the meet will truly begin as a bunch of us will meet up there for the rest of the journey.
