I figured that but the one portion of the bracket did not sit flush into the recessed portion of the oil pan and I wasn't sure if that was normal.

Can anyone help me out? I'm converting my 72 from a column shift to a factory console and I purchased the tranny cable bracket from opgi and I'm not sure where it mounts to the tranny?
