Guest
I am currently do a frame off resto on my 71SS and wanted to know about possibly painting it with POR20. Would it be safe to paint the gas tank with this product? It is in great condition, but I am painting the exhaust with this along and the brake lines and the frame with POR15 and wanted to do the same to the tank. I really don't wee why I couldn't, but wanted to get some other opinions on this. Thanks for any advice in advance. Happy New Year everyone!!! Grease
Hello 71SS i guess you are wanting to paint the outside of the tank with POR i see no reason that wont work for the inside of the tank there are products to seal and preserve them . one is availiable from Bill Hirsch /396 Littleton ave Newark,NJ 07103 (201-642-2404) Custom Automotive Products / alcohol resistant gas tank sealer . sorry i dont have awebb address for them.they have quite a few products though . good luck mike
Guest
POR-15 offers a resto kit for the inside of gas tanks also. Just another option.
