jdshep32
Anyone know where to get replacement AC compressor lines? Mine were damaged putting engine back in and leaks. Tried ordering some from Year One, but the line from the manifold on back of compressor to the condenser is about a foot short. I guess they assumed a Chevelle one would fit a Monte. Mine is a 1972. MCfan
When I look at the factory hoses on my '70 SS, the hose from the evaporator has a big shepherd's hook connector on one end and has an "L" on the other that appears to be pressed into a solid block that bolts to the back of the compressor. Then another weird connector comes out of that block and goes to a dryer and continues on with a hose to the condenser. On other words, that all looks like one assembly - and a complicated one at that. Why not pick one up at a salvage yard? There have been several posts on our site recently offering lots of first gen Monte parts so that's another possible source. If all else fails, Classic Auto Air might be able to make one for you. Good luck.
