Guest MikeG1972
When I was underneath the car installing a new gas tank I noticed that I must have caught the vent line that goes to carbon Canister up front when I lowered the body down on the frame. Now the line is kinked and trapped between the body and the rear crossmember. To fix this I am going to have to loosen all the body bolts, raise the body and splice the line. (I hope). Is this line really that necessary? what would happen if I left it alone, would it effect the way it runs. Do you know? Thanks Mike
Jared Richey
I believe that cannister is the vent for the gas tank. You could do away with those vent lines totally like I am doing, I bought a 70 Gas Tank and will use a vented gas cap. This will do away the need for the lines or the cannister. hope this helps. Guest MikeG1972
Thanks Jared but I thought the carbon canister was an early attempt at emmission control. Thanks for the info. Mike
