Need to know the original color for front and rear sway bars for a 71SS454. Thanks! PS- Also, how about the spindles? I see sopme orange paint on the back of them. Is this correct? ejw71 Posted October 8, 2003 Share Posted October 8, 2003 Sigster, Suspect the color is cast iron gray. Some use a paint that color, others sand blast the part and paint it with a clear paint. I used the clear paint. However, it did change color (became darker) after a few years.
