Chevelle327
I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm needing a pinout for the 1972 bulkhead connector. I have a total of seven cut wires coming from the bulkhead connector on my '72. I have the 1970 GM service manual but it appears that there is quite a bt of difference in the wiring between 70 and 72. I'm hoping to find out if I can pull the pins and remove the wire, or if I should return them to their rightful component. I appreciate any help. Thanks

Chevelle327
Thanks for the reply, I managed to find a map of it on a Chevelle forum. Turns out that the wires all went to the TCS and the oil and temp idiot lights. There was also a 12ga orange wire, the info I had said it was for non AC only. Was it common practice for the factory to leave the unused wire in the harness? My car is an AC car and already has a blower motor wire hooked up. I did get it figured out. Thanks for looking into it though.
Blake350
I cant say for certain but I think I remember some examples, and it would make sense from a manufacturing point, that some harnesses and connectors would end up with an unused wire or terminal in a less optioned model-these wires, capped off,may at some point become 'uncapped' and find their way into making mischief...
