Performance small block break in?

I am ready to run my new 350. I started it and set the timing and dwell etc and now want to make sure to break it in the best way possible...What works the best? So far I have been told to run the engine for 30 min at 2000 to 2500 RPM and that will do it.

depends on the cam, if you have a roller cam, no break in is needed.

but if you have a flat tappet cam, as soon as it fires up, get the rpms up (2000-3000) & keep them there for 30 minutes (no idling) if you have any leaks or other problems, shut it down , fix them & then continue the break in process.
