  1. Thanks, sorry I can't make it up to Oregon this year, hopefully next year. I'm on the schedule for a trans rebuild, new windshield and some minor interior work. Pics forthcoming.
  2. Got new T/A's for Monte today. No more wobble from the stone age Firestones anymore.
  3. Monte is looking more aggressive with the new springs, shocks, and tires.
  4. My two cents would be to take off the valve covers inspect and lube the top end, could be pretty dry and even rusty after 25 years then replace them with new gaskets if all checks out okay. Plus what the others said. Good sign it spins!
  5. Great progress, keep it up.
  6. I've been away for almost a month, looks awesome. Keep up the good work and oh yes the pictures too.
  7. Way to break in the grandson Steve. Looks like you guys had a great time together!

  10. Looks great Dennis. I need to get into my Monte like you did. Been away, but back now.
  11. Very nice Monte and welcome. I live close to you in Paso Robles, if you take a run out to the coast some day send me a pm and we can get together.
  12. Awesome Dave!
  13. Great sound, no wonder that Monte stands up when you get on it!
  14. Thanks for the pics, great job. I have a '71, just swapped out both bumpers, my bumper brackets were not cut, I don't know if there is a difference between years on the brackets though.
  15. Yep, what those guys said, did the same on mine recently, no leaks.
  16. Terry, so glad to hear it worked out for you, great news!
  17. All good advice, I've had both causes mentioned here, oil up the intake bolts and valve covers, both fixed with little expense.
  18. Good call on the rebuild Abe. Definitely the right call. It will be interesting to see what's going on too.
  19. Thanks for the pictures, they are truly inspiring. Oh and keep up the excellent work.
  20. Sorry to hear that Abe. When my Monte did that I was just out of gas. Those old fuel gauges. Good luck with it.
  21. Dan I haven't had my '57 since 1977 and I would like to be reinfected with that disease!
  22. Scott to the rescue, remember when you helped me, seems like just 8 months ago, oh wait! It was just 8 months ago.
