  1. Sorry to hear, I've only done one video, it worked just fine. I'm not much of a tech guy, so I don't know why mine worked or why yours is doing that. Did you try copying the address from the address bar and link it that way to see if it works?
  2. Konik's Klassics
  3. I have an old craftsman that is about 40 years old, still works fine, I've melted the wires a bit but not through, yup I did exactly what you did.
  4. All I can say is mine did just that, second time around choke would stay open. I'm only guessing, but my Monte did exactly what Eric's did until I removed the carbon build up. After I rebuilt the carb. it was better, but my problem was not fully resolved until the intake was clean.
  5. Hi Eric, my Monte did the same thing when I bought it, I rebuilt the carb but it still did it. Turned out to be carbon build-up in the intake manifold. The center of the intake manifold has openings to a plenum which heats up and releases the choke, (at least on my '71 it is like that) and it would do exactly what yours does on cold mornings, in the afternoon if it was warmer it would not do it. So off with the intake and got it tanked and cleaned and painted since it was off and Monte runs perfectly now. Just my .02 worth.
  6. Great pictures, and how about that '57 with the continental kit, my second car was a '57 Belair 2 door hardtop. You certainly have great taste in cars!
  7. I bought mine from Leo Konik a club member, you can check konik's klassics on the web. Tell him what you need and he has it or can get it.
  8. Great looking project, looking forward to seeing your progress.
  9. Great pictures Cory, I'm down with a cold so my Monte is dusty and parked, just a little jealous rant. Glad you and Sam had a great trip.
  10. Send Leo a PM or call him, 810-334-4162. He will know.
  11. Isn't the 700r4 longer? Are you just talking about the engine or the car too? That kind of change will take some other modifications (cross member, driveshaft length).
  12. Great going there. Love the pictures too. Keep them coming we love pictures!
  13. .373's with a four speed auto will get you out of the whole in a hurry, plus you have overdrive for the highway, sounds like a good combination.
  14. Gotta love that sound!
  15. My next set of tires will be T/A's. I like the way they look, my Firestone Firehawks are old and the car was stored for a lot of years so they aren't exactly round anymore. Just waiting for enough 'green' to purchase them. My $.02.
  16. Sorry I can't believe I missed the aluminum part of the post, thanks for the correction.
  17. Get it hot tanked and make sure any carbon build up is cleaned out, paint and you're good to go.
  18. Has he checked the timing and dwell?
  19. Got to drive Monte today, had two vehicles in the shop, it turned out to be really fun, I haven't driven Monte for about a month. Getting some new springs from Leo Konik and can't wait to get Monte off of the ground. You can probably see from my signature picture that she's riding kind of low. It's okay if you do it on purpose, but not because of sagging springs.
