  1. Those aren't Dennis's feet in your photo but I would bet Dennis will see this and respond if he has what you need. If so I am sure he would be willing to deliver them to Carlisle. rob
  2. Thanks Joe and Ian. After what Joe went through today, I can sympathize, having been in that position over the years. Nobody can realize what all is involved in the job of President if they haven't been involved in doing it. Again, much appreciated Ian and Joe. rob
  3. Greg, I am glad to hear your were planning to hit the Eastern Meet in Kentucky to check out the cars there. We will have a lot of First Gen Monte's coming to Carlisle for the meet that is there very soon. We can still hook you up with a room in Carlisle. I guarantee it will be worth the trip. There will be several unrestored ones there that you could check out for originality. rob
  4. I know a past dues paying member in Canada had a NOS tail panel for sale awhile back. His screen name on the site was LostnFound I am pretty sure Larry still checks in now and then so you may want to leave him a PM here on the site to see if he still has it rob
  5. Yeah, like you need a reason or better yet an excuse to drive your Monte. rob
  6. Jason, go to this link from the Parts Sources in the Resources area: https://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/resources/partssources/ Once you are there look for Konik's Klassik's. Leo is good to work with and he is a dues paying member of the club. rob
  7. Thanks Steve, I knew you were up in the air regarding being there but didn't know you had made the final decision. You haven't missed one of these in years, don't you hate it when work gets in the way. rob
  8. I have seen that before and not affect the operation. Like Steve said the actual bearing rides in its own race. As long as the nicks don't cause the bearing to sit kitty-wampus on the spindle I don't think it is a problem. I will let more informed minds to answer. rob
  9. Could have been worse, it could have been a 2X4 to the face. Let's be careful out there rob
  10. Jason, I don't know if Dennis (Dtret) here on the boards would have one but I am sure if he does he will help you out. He will be going to Carlisle. We also have a member named Steve Demers who has a lot of NOS and used parts. He usually goes to Carlisle and sets up a sales spot in the vendors area. I will PM you his phone number. Just a warning, a NOS one is going to cost a bundle. Steve posts his number here on the boards so I can share it with you. I see you just joined the boards a couple months ago. We hope you like what you see here and decide to become a Full Fledged Dues paying member of the club. If you make it to Carlisle please make sure you stop by the club canopy on the show field and meet some of our members. You live just down the Mon river from me. I live in the south hills of Pittsburgh. rob
  11. With this Mini-Meet having become an Eastern Meet, a number of members have decided to come a day earlier and are arriving on Wednesday June 18th. Please let me know if you are planning to arrive on Wednesday rather than Thursday so i can update our Meet Tracking document. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!! Please email me at rob29ford@aol.com or leave me a PM here on the boards. Rob
  12. Clint, sorry to hear about your divorce. We really urge people to post pictures of their for sale items. .Just a note, there was no such thing as an early "Halo" trim. The "Full Halo" that was on 70 Monte's was NOT only on early produced cars. My 70 Montr was produced in late June of 1970 and it has the Full Halo. Again, we love pictures. rob
  13. Like I replied to Dennis, I also was just poking fun. rob
  14. Yes Dennis, I did know it was just in fun, so was my reply. rob
  15. Dennis, if the person responsible to send out the reminder to ship out to that secretary, the secretary can't send it out to you so don't shoot the piano player. rob
  16. Frank, you better git-er-done quickly, it is less than 2 weeks till the Carlisle Meet!! rob
  17. Dennis, for someone like you, who has so many parts "In Stock" it doesn't surprise some of us that you wouldn't realize any part may not be easy to get. rob
  18. In two weeks from today (Wednesday June 4) some of our members will start arriving in Carlisle for our FGMCC Mini-Meet/2025 Eastern Meet. Boy is the time flying by. Thanks to some of the members who were planning to go to the Somerset, KY meet for doing an about face and deciding to make the trip to Carlisle. I think we picked up 3 or 4 members that had planned to attend the Kentucky meet and are not coming to Carlisle. It hasn't been very long since the Kentucky Meet had to be cancelled and we started the steps to do an about face and make the Mini-Meet a full blown Eastern Meet. A lot more work goes into a full blown Eastern or Western Meet than what goes into planning a Mini-Meet but in two weeks we have shifted into high gear and are on track to kick this Mini-Meet off as a full blown Eastern Meet. I think 4 or 5 members are now planning to arrive on Wednesday rather than Thursday. There will be some door prizes to unload, a trip to Walmart to purchase the club water and some snacks. We will head out to the show field and check out our area and see how large of a club canopy we will have. One of the cars Carlisle Events is honoring is our First Gen Monte's for the 55th Anniversary of Monte Carlo, it seems like it was only yesterday when they featured us for the 50th Anniversary. As of right now I have almost 55 members registered with me to attend. Patsy and I are going to head up there on Tuesday of next week and get the final arrangements completed with our caterer regarding the Saturday evening dinner and the Thursday evening pizza party. If you are not registered with me to attend and would like to please contact me as soon as possible. We will do our best to try to snag you a room at the club host hotel at the club special rate. You can leave me a PM here on the club website or you can email me at rob29ford@aol.com rob
  19. ((UPDATED DAY WEDNESDAYJUNE 4TH)) I wanted to update you on our GM National Mini-Meet. I also wanted to let everyone know that if you have not made your hotel reservations yet, we will lose any remaining rooms in our block on May 30th, that is only 5 days from today. Today I have added new FGMCC Members John Engle, Patrick Hogan, Kevin Gasparini and Josh Thomas to our list of attendees and this has brought our new total to 53 members registered with me to attend. Since the hotel has added some more rooms to our block we still have around 5 rooms in our block. We usually get some members signing up at the last minute so it is good to have this buffer of additional rooms with less than two months until this great mini-meet. That said, in a little less than a month from now, we will lose any rooms that have not been claimed. Below is an updated list the members I have heard from who are planning to attend the Carlisle GM Nationals Mini-Meet. With the registration of the below member , we are now at 44 so keep those registrations coming. The names I have added yesterday and today are Barry Holden from Washington, GA and Del Warner from Sweet Valley, PA. Currently Registered With Me: Mark Apel OHIO Thomas Baird NEW YORK Bob Bardou NEW YORK Doni Blanchard NEW YORK Jim Cihlar NEW YORK CK Collins NEW YORK Dennis Collins NEW YORK David Concordia NEW JERSEY Willie Conforte NEW YORK Randy Czankner PENNSYLVANIA Tony DiVirgilio PENNSYLVANIA Anthony DiVirgilio PENNSYLVANIA Dan Donlin NEW JERSEY Randy Dougherty DOUGHERT PENNSYLVANIA John Engle OHIO Kevin Ferrante NEW YORK Tom (Little Tom) Ferrante NEW YORK Jo Garvin PENNSYLVANIA Kevin Gasparini VIRGINIA Rick Gibson PENNSYLVANIA Andy Gorzynski PENNSYLVANIA Doug Guenther NEW YORK Carl Hanson VIRGINIA Michael Heckler PENNSYLVANIA Robert Hedden PENNSYLVANIA Patrick Hogan OHIO Barry Holden GEORGIA (ADDED ON TUESDAY JUNE 3RD) Kevin Jones PENNSYLVANIA Kevin Low NEW JERSEY Mike Minch PENNSYLVANIA Jeff Mullen MARYLAND Jay Munday PENNSYLVANIA Greg Munday PENNSYLVANIA MYSTERY SURPRISE MEMBER Frank O'Connell MASSACHUSETTS Rob Peters PENNSYLVANIA Patrick Peters PENNSYLVANIA Glen Popiela ILLINOIS Seth Primack NEW YORK John Rodi CONNECTICUT Joe Roman PENNSYLVANIA James Stead NEW YORK Joe Sullivan PENNSYLVANIA Josh Thomas PENNSYLVANIA Joe Tedesco NEW YORK Dennis Tretter OHIO Mark Truman FLORIDA Gary Vanatter PENNSYLVANIA Del Warner PENNSYLVANIA (ADDED ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 4) THBob Wiemels OHIO Mike Zecca PENNSYLVANIA If you are planning to attend and you don't see your name on the below list please get me your tracking information. The information I need is: Member Last Name: Member Frist Name: Number In Your Party: City: State: Arrival Date: Departure Date: Monte Year: Member Preferred Email: Hotel: Thanks for all who have responded. It will be here before we know. Who is going be next to move us from our current of 53 count and get us to to 54 members to get registered? We are doing so well and on our way to maybe hitting 55 members OR or more members with 10 states and one Canadian Province represented so far. At this point, most of our 40 to 45 rooms have been spoken for. Get your reservations in because we may not be able to get any rooms added. rob
  20. Congratulations Jim. Looks like it was a beautiful day for a car show. It always nice to be recognized and appreciated. I hope something comes from the Hemmings guy. I had a couple guys from Hemmings come up to me in Carlisle a couple years ago. They really liked my car and the fact it had not been restored but still showed well and they took a lot of information from me on the car. They took all of my contact information and said a professional photographer would be in contact with me to arrange a photo shoot in the Pittsburgh area. Nothing ever came of this. Of course my Monte isn't near the quality of yours so it didn't surprise me nothing came of it from Hemmings. rob
  21. Robert, your photo's are not working and I can't open them. You may need to repost them in a different format. rob
  22. Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for stalking, we never underestimate the value of a good member stalker. rob
  23. Can you believe it is already June 1st? I know it is hard to believe here in Pittsburgh. This unusually cool/cold weather is getting real old, it was in the 40’s here this morning and the furnace is still coming on instead of the air conditioning. So, seeing that it is now June, this means it is also the same month as our combined 2025 Carlisle Mini-Meet/2025 Eastern Meet!!! So for some of us it means we need to get our Monte projects completed in time to head to Carlisle. With the cancellation of the Ron Tevis 2025 Eastern Meet in Somerset, due to the tornado’s, Ron had to make a hard decision to cancel this event. Due to the death and destruction in that area it was the right decision. That same weekend, since I already had the Carlisle Mini-Meet plans intact we decided to move the Eastern Meet to Carlisle, PA and make this a combined event. Thank You to Ron for all he did in the planning of the Somerset Eastern Meet. I had planned to arrive on Thursday but with the addition of the Eastern Meet I may be heading to Carlisle on Wednesday, June 18th to firm up our plans with our caterer for our Group Buffet Dinner on Saturday evening and our Thursday night Pizza Party. I will attach a copy of the Group Buffet Dinner flier to this email/message. You will also get this flier in your registration packet when you check in with us when you arrive. When you check in we will also be collecting money for both the Thursday Pizza Party and the Group Buffet Dinner. I ask you to please have the exact amount ready when you arrive. The cost per person for each of these are as follows: · Pizza Party will be $6.00 per person in you party · Group Buffet Dinner will be $21.00 per person in your party. We have also prepared an itinerary. I will also attach a copy of this itinerary to this email/message. You will see that we will have a lot to offer. Ron had planned a little game of guess who this member is which is a cassette we will play of a recording of one of our members and the person who guesses correctly who this member is will receive a prize. We will also be hosting a show field seminar on gas gauge troubleshooting. The club officers will also have a few items for sale in the club canopy. All of these activities will in or at the Show Field Canopy. Hotel activities and special things will be as follows: · The hotel will rope off a large section of their parking lot specifically for our club cars · The hotel will have available an area in our parking area for our members to wash their cars · Thursday arrivals, please check in with us to get your meet registration items, pay for your pizza party and pay for your dinner (We would like to get all of the Thursday arrivals checked in that same day so the planners (Meet Heads) have a chance to enjoy as many Carlisle Events activities · Each evening will be bench racing in our club parking area. Bring your chairs, snacks and beverages · Thursday evening Pizza Party will be held in the hotel hospitality/breakfast area (Please bring your own beverages · Thursday we will go as a group to the show field to decorate our club canopy. If we have enough people helping with this activity we should be able to knock this out withing an your Following our Saturday evening group dinner, will return to the hotel to present our club awards and will have some door prizes to give away. We would like to do this immediately following our return to the hotel so if you are trailering your car please do this trailer loading following the awards and door prizes. I think we have most members cell phone numbers. This is good because Joe Tedesco is setting up a “Group Text” and we will use text messaging to send members any updates during the meet so when you arrive and check in with us please verify with us the numbers we have are all cell phone numbers. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. If you have any questions please feel free to email, text or call me. You can also leave me a PM on the club website.
