Where the inners bolt to the floor they have a vinyl, maybe something a little harder, cover that goes over them with a little snap button.

Rob is correct on both counts. The reason people say they are “ early “ is because GM discontinued them early. But the parts that were already made were to be used. In late 69 the GM strike at Flint threw this all off, so the parts were distributed to all the remaining plants and kept them being put on cars later than planned. My 70 SS Flint car started being built in late 69 ( proof is the paint numbers on the cowl) but ended up with an April build date and yes it has both.

You beat me to it Mark. If I was doing one I’d look for the most rust free car period. You can add all the bells and whistles after the conversion is done.

Console base is the same , automatic or manual.

You can overpay and get what you want,pretty much ready to go or you can way way overpay and build the same thing. We don’t charge ourselves for the thousands of hours on a build.

I hope not. I’m down my truck unless absolutely necessary. The rear shock mount rusted off the frame. I’m going to have to figure out a way to pull the bed off and put in new frame braces. Or get a newer truck.

You’re going to have to measure the tracks. With all the ripples in the floor pan you will need something close so they can be mounted safely.
