It just needs to be pushed down and back at the same time, yes it takes a lot of effort. You can just set it in and push it down and leave it not latched it’s not going anywhere. I’ve done it forever. If you’re using the back seat then it should be locked down.
Regular maintenance is a myth. You don’t need to do it at all. Just do what I do and never drive the cars. See no maintenance. lol. 😂. Yes do your regular checks.
Nice project. I see some questionable things but when converting from a small block to a big block you’ll get that. Needs a lot but it is a great start. Not my favorite color combination but then again what is.
I think it was like a 73/74 nova. A lot of us tucked the on the passenger side of the battery inside the fender so you can barely tell that they are there.
I thought you were talking about the cross brace that went in between the frame rails. If you’re looking for the back of the trunk pan that the bumper bolts too, good luck that is a Monte only part a chevelle will not fit without major modifications.
You know that question is totally subjective to the exact spot on the trim that you measure. Photoshop the point of measure and I’ll be more than happy to get you the digits.
