  1. Rear shocks disconnected. Do you think it needs rear coil springs? Opinions please
  2. Results are in the evidence. Right.
  3. Bronze metallic actually. I thought it was black too. I was corrected pretty quickly. lol. Awesome color and it reflects so well in the sun. It originally had a black vinyl top, and I think that would make it look real sweet. For some reason he didn’t want it , I can’t imagine why that would have been. 😝
  4. That’s for sure. lol.
  5. Just getting it roadworthy. There will be no major changes to the car other than the steering wheel. And whatever else is needed.
  6. Seen it. I’ll leave it in both for now.
  7. The daughter, Kelly, pointed them out as first thing to go. And now I have received approval to rid the car of the air shocks. Hopefully they were not added to compensate for weak springs. If so I’ll do springs too.
  8. This will be a little long so bare with me. A few months ago I was recommended through facebook as someone who could be entrusted to pull an old 72 out of storage and see if I can make it roadworthy again. Of course you guys know how much I love a challenge. I accepted the challenge. So a little background. The car was purchased new by Bill and Linda on 02/20/1972 with 8 miles on it and driven daily for many years ( it now has 133,080 miles) and then went into an extensive rebuild/ restoration in the late 80’s and early 90’s. A lot of things were changed from original, bench to buckets and console, pass mirror added, aluminum rear differential cover, dual exhaust ( 350 2 barrel is still retained) and several other touches that Bill liked ( he loved tinkering with the car the family said, he was always doing something to it). Bill passed in 2006 and the car sat in the garage ever since. Kelly, Bill and Linda’s daughter now wants to roll in style. It was with obvious apprehension that they agreed to let me do this and they had their doubts and I don’t blame them a bit. So today I roll up to the house fully expecting to pull some half built dirty old car out of the garage. WOW Was I floored. After talking with them, going through all the old parts and me just being the nice guy I am I left with car. Needless to say the car didn’t make it to the tent and went straight into the garage ( yes Karen got kicked out again, I’ll let you know if I survive that). I proceeded to replace the battery and drain the tank, rinse and put some premium in it. A little shot down the carb and running. That’s all I got for now. By the way I’m sitting in the passenger seat typing as I’m just in awe. IMG_9874.mov

  10. 72 only but special order in Canada exclusively.
  11. I know in Ohio if you jump a title you have to pay a late fee. If the seller was smart he would just put the car in his name and get rid of all the confusion. Just saying.
  12. It kinda fits here too. I’ll leave it.
  13. That’s pretty cool.
  14. Welcome Anthony. Any questions you have just ask away. That’s a great looking car and an awesome story, except for the loss of you father of course. My condolences. Now you get to carry on the tradition of being known by the car.
  15. Please post update for fellow members as we cannot hear the voice mail. This could be useful information to someone. Thanks
  16. Could be just another high quality part that the stores sell. Gotta buy 3 to get 1 good one.
  17. I’m assuming it the plastic part the terminals come out of.
  18. That’s nice. Well done
  19. What year?
  20. The Parts Place has them.
  21. I don’t know why and I don’t think you could order the horn configuration. But I do know that I have seen a lot more of them with one horn.
  22. This is relatively new. I don’t believe it was available when you got your new dash.
  23. Dual mirrors yes but sport mirrors no. That is a pretty nice looking car ( not a huge fan of yellow though).
  24. Depending on what you’re paying see if you can get any maintenance records. If you’re getting a real good deal nothing really matters except the condition of the box and frame. The rest can be dealt with.
