  1. Very nice, the interior sail panels not so much. Needs way more photos of everything, especially the underside for that kind of money. Hopefully that black rug thing on the drivers side is for protection and not covering something up. No mention of any documentation either. Not an SS, so not so crucial. By the way, the description says those tires are BFGs.
  2. Happy Birthday Rob. Thanks for the pictures. Looked like a nice day.
  3. Once the door panel has been removed there is a rubber bump stop that the window mechanism rests on when the glass is rolled down. You can remove the bracket or just lower it which will allow you to roll the window down a little more to clear those screws. Be careful not to roll it down too far because the bottom guide rollers could come out of the channel at the bottom and can be a hassle to get them back.
  4. 75-79 Nova. Somewhat concealed under the fender next to the battery. About $40. Many suppliers, but the cap is separate with most.
  5. Except for the headliner, the interior looks pretty nice. From what I could see on his too fast video walk around was some terrible body prep. In person, I’d bet it’s a lot worse which is too bad. For 10k, I would definitely have new paint in the budget.
  6. Welcome Anthony, it’s good to hear you kept it in the family. You definitely came to the right place for any needed info on these cars.
  7. Wow! Walts mouse really did a number on that one. At that price, they’ll be sitting on that for awhile.
  8. I’ll check and see if it appears the wire to the second horn has been spliced in. All single horn cars I’ve seen had the horn on the drivers side.
  9. In the cars and parts for sale section I noticed the Monte for sale had 1 horn. Not the first time I’ve seen this. Mine and most others I’ve seen has 2. Haven’t looked at mine closely, but I’m assuming ones high and ones low to create a specific tone. Does anyone know why some have 1 and some have 2?
  10. Looks pretty nice, though it could be an allusion, but the body line above the molding behind the left rear wheel looks a bit wavy. Heater disconnected also. Never been a big fan of yellow either, even though I’ve had my Daytona yellow 69 Z/28 for 27 years now.

    Shop Lifts

It’s too bad they sped through the assembly process and not all the side talk. There is an adjustment that will sinc up the safety latches. When she demoed the lift I knew there would be an issue because I counted only 3 clicks and not 4. That’s why they had to raise it a little bit to get the 4th to engage. I’ve got the Bendpak HDS14X which is a bit overkill but I needed the length and width to fit my 84 GMC crew cab dually. I’ve got the caster kit also, which I haven’t used, but is the same principle. I assembled mine by myself using a floor jack and a cart. The worst part was turning over the 20’ runways that shipped face down. That required clamping a 2x12 plank across the width for leverage. I used a similar magnetic strip light. I tried using them on the inside of the runways as they did, but because the light was somewhat directional, it was blinding. So I’ve got them on the runway surface as close to the inside edge as possible. As for that other accessory she briefly reviewed, it’s referred to as a rolling bridge jack. I’m in the process of saving for one now. I contacted Wildfire lifts awhile ago about theres but they say it won’t work with my lift so I have another brand in mind. Bendpaks version is way more than I want to spend. I got the lift for working not storage.I do park the Monte on my lift to make up some space the lift takes up, but the lift is always down when not in use. The lift is very stable when using, but out here in California with “the big one” always around the corner I would never leave it up with a vehicle for storage.
  12. Don’t worry about your English. You’re communicating in English much better than most of here could ever do in Spanish.
  13. Looks pretty nice. More photos would help.
  14. Welcome Juan. You have a real nice Monte Carlo. Really like the wheels.
  15. Sure is. If you pause the video walk around when he gets to the passenger side, the front seat back needs repaired, but the rest looks like cleaning and detailing. Store the skirts, put on some ralleys and you’re done. Then enjoy it.
  16. Beautiful car. Wonder why the flywheel cover is missing. Can’t be hard to find.
  17. Thought I had it changed yesterday but got locked out. Then I found the change password email in my junk folder this morning. It was too easy. If the world was dependent on my computer knowledge, we’d all be goners.
  18. They all looked real nice. Too bad there aren’t any under hood or interior shots of the 70. Noticed the first gen plate on it also. Current member?

Welcome Rick, hope you find what you’re looking for. Now you’ve joined, there shouldn’t be a shortage of people keeping a lookout.
  20. They definitely weren’t stingy with the pics. Spent close to an hour zooming in on them. Aside from the exhaust and what damage there was to the quarter panel, it appears to me to be a non molested 1 maybe 2 owner well maintained car. The door fit looks like a simple adjustment or possibly a hinge re bush. The hood and trunk gaps are some of the best I’ve seen. Numbers matching too. I really like it and hope it goes for enough money that an enthusiast gets it and not another flipper.
  21. There you go. Great idea! Necessity is the mother of invention.
  22. It works well. Are you using the braces on the ends and center?
  23. My first one was a 69 Z/28. Got in 98 and I still have it. Back In 85, I built a 70 Firebird for my wife with a warmed over 327sbc. That one’s gone.
  24. It seems to me that having a hole between the 2 reservoirs defeats the purpose of having 2 reservoirs. How close to the top of the divider is the hole? Even if you could prevent the cover from leaking, every time you check the levels you’re going to have a splash of fluid when you remove it. I think I’d plug it. What does Wilwood say?
