Sorry guys I haven't posted in a while but I am back into the restoration trying to be ready for next years 50th anniversary of the 71 Monte Carlo. Working on teaching myself how to paint as I have never picked up a spray gun before but I am determined to paint my own car. Here is my first attempt at painting on a test quarter

Cool story Rob. She is definitely code 67. But just like the reds on a 70s corvettes they can get a little tricky that's why I'm not gonna strip this pillar section of my car till I get it computer matched for the color. Excited to be back on this project. Work has been crazy busy so it kind of got shelved but it's time to pick up where I left off

Bruce That looks like it but it's not called burnt orange. Its code 67. Should be a 1 year only color I believe

Found the original Classic Copper under the window tracks. Gonna get it computer matched.

Chassis is pretty much done and engine running great. So put that in storage and brought the body home. Now to finish up the body work then mock it up on the chassis then send it out for paint. Gotta get this project back up and running

I am using Gardner Exhaust as well. The fit and finish is second to none. Eric Gardner is doing a great job of carrying on his Dad's Business. It is more money than the others but you get what you pay for. Joe
