A 331 is a great gear and would def be an upgrade over what you have now. If you notice a lot of the BB guys who don't have to worry about low end tq are running them and even the ones who run their cars on the track have respectable times. That being said keep in mind that you have a mild small block. Now I don't know what your intentions are but it seems that with the upgrades you are doing you have a I'll "go fast" in your blood??? If you want that mill to get up and go don't hesitate to go 355-373. They'll put a big smile on your face. The best of both worlds, hot doggin around town and keeping up with traffic on the highway. Now if you want more than that then get ready for that overdrive. Wish I had one at times

Greg if your looking to get a drive shaft local I had mine done at Nassau Driveshaft in Merrick...3 1/2 in steel with 1350's on both ends. They charged me $400 and had it done with a fresh coat of paint the same day..actually it was 4 hrs total. and why am I a wise guy?? and yes I'll take a cookie...lmao

Im buying dbreeses Qa1 adj rear shocks

Thanx guys, wasnt expecting those Qa1s to be that pricey, maybe once I recover from the expense of the rear. They do look sweet. For now I'm thinkin just get the cheap sumitt brand to match the front, theyre only $36 ea. If I'm a good boy the rest of the yr maybe Santa will bring me springs and better shocks. The antiroll bar I use is the HR Parts and Stuff one and I leave it on. This bar allows me to remove the front sway bar for good...makes the car real tight. Again, thanx guys. Al

While I have the old 10 bolt out and the new 9in ready to go in I was wondering what you guys thought of ditching the rear a/c delco gas shocks for some adj.drag shocks. I already have Sumitt 3 way adj. for the fronts and have them set on 90/10 and dont mind them on the street. When my car hooks my 60ft is 1.54-1.58 now. I have stock springs all around an HR Parts and stuff antiroll bar, Hotchkis adj uppers and boxed lowers too. Any info/experiences appreciated. Al

Steve Monteman1971 had a Comp XE274 cam in his 71 402 4 speed.. It had a sweeet lumpy sound and the get up and go to stand behind it. Its a performance proven cam. I also had it in my lil 355 and it got my monte in the 12's..Now honestly I'm not one for off the shelf cams anymore but I like this one. My 2 pennies. Al
