  1. I got my raptor rebuild kit from here i have basically the raptor tranny with about $300 in extras. the salesman told me it should be good for 650 hp. they were good to deal with also.
  2. I still havent changed my speedo yet but when i went from 2.73 to 4.11 even though i also installed a 700r4 my speedo reads around 90 at 55 hahhahaha
  3. dave look at my post under the auto body repair and my idea and let me know if u have thought about anything like that.
  4. WEll that sucks! Is ole Joe still around ar has anyone heard from him? what would u do for fender extensions steel on glass kinda sucks!
  5. OK well if i can sell one of my motorcycles or both im strongly considering installing fiberglass front fenders as i know of there is fiberglass trends and USbody that make them. any suggestions on who to go with if i go this route
  6. I have a lincoln 125 and it works exceptionally well. The main difference is that the 125 has an infinantly adjustable amperage and wire speed controls which i was told is much better for sheet metal work because it can be more precisely tuned. Good luck and btw lincoln is suposed to be a really good brand.
  7. is the old one fiberglass??? if it is i might be interested in it. Eli btw new one looks good also
  8. An MSD ignition box will cause the engine to run on after u shut it off due to the low amount of power required to keep the ignition powered, This is corrected by putting a diode on the alternator light wire. i know this doesnt help but i thought i would through it out for anyone who might not know.
  9. u could also use a butter knife with a hook bent on the end or a pick pull kinda tool, also the c shaped clip is always with the loop either under the handle or 180 degrees from the handle i forget right now. good luck
  10. Im running a Mallory 110ghp electric pump on my car, it works great, u want to mount it close to the gas tank and preferably as low as possible to help gravity feed it. The electric pump makes a humming noise that is noticible when putting around over my flowmasters that dump before the axle however my pump is mounted directly to the trunk pan with no rubber mounts or anything so im sure that makes it amplified. Other than that use a fuse on your power wire and everything should be good.
  11. How much do they want for one??? and sorry about the stupid question about it being glass i was in a hurry that day and didnt read your original post, i would consider getting one but i dont want you to think im trying to copy, anyhow thanks agian and looks great
  12. I done the same for my roller rockers on my SB i used two rubber gaskets under each cover and glued them togeather with guess what.........3m glue hahahhah ohh yeah and it works with no leaks also
  13. looks good man, makes me want one too, is it fiberglass??? and how long did it take u to get it??? Looks like your car is really together now, i wish mine was that far:-)
  14. OK i just got my set of chromemoly full roller rockers in today and i was wondering if you adjust the valves with the engine running if it squirts oil everywhere or if because of the oil hole position and the posi locks that it doesnt squirt everywhere and if it still does what can u do to deflect if???? thanks
  15. anybody want to buy a set of these headers, mine are still in good condition but i am going to get a set of shorties for ground clearance....these will also fit 70-81camaro
  16. A wire cup brush in a drill or angle grinder is the wepon of choice here, for paint sometimes u can find cast finish spray paint at a good auto parts store, i found some that is even suposed to be brake fluid resistant........
  17. the only problems i have with the long ones is that the plug almost hits on the number 4 or 6 sclinder i forget which one
  18. I have to do this someday also i have had the patch for over a year but never installed it yet....anyhow if you weld it it will be better than rivets but you put in a lot of heat and it will want to warp.......i dono anything about the adhesive but i think it may be worth looking into with as advanced chemistry as we have today it is possible for them to make something that might bond it nearly as well as welding.....the only draw back i see to the adhesive would be that it might be tricky to get it to bond to the surface of the metal. i would also get a panel flanging tool if you do not have on this makes it a lot easier to do patches........
  19. Im running the Extreme 262h in my 350 now it sounds good and runns god too, im also running a single plane edelbrock torquer intake with a 600vac holley, i dono how this setup performs yet really but i know it carries up to 5200 with no problems, it should carry up to 6k without loosing power but if your going to run a dual plane intake get something larger than a 600 i can use it case my whole carb gets drawn from as aposed to just half........
  20. Well i tried to weigh mine a while back by weighing one side and then multiplying by two it turned out to be like 100lbs or around, i think this is more accurate than 202 but maybe he had the hindges and spring assemblys like someone said and maybe even a kitchen sink on the scales also hahahhah
  21. Mine is suposed to weight 25lbs i dono but this is what i remember reading on vfn's website.
  22. 454 SS Emblems

OPG has been good for me to deal with if you dont mind waiting forever they have a lot of stuff that i dont see in other catalouges but if you order from them be prepared to wait for a long time.....
  24. why are u guys running organic pads, from what i understand the performance friction ones handle the heat better wouldnt these be the better choice?
  25. Wow this is an old topic, ok well i have a 70 with a 70 style glass front bumper, i like the looks of the turn signals so they are staying in it, i am going to make a custom front air dam and i will probably run some flexible cooling tubing from holes in it to the backign plates and modify them a little bit to attach the hoses, im just using the car for street driving but i do some pretty extreme county cruising and i live in the hills so i get some seriouse use of my brakes. another alternative would be to use a setup similar to a second generation camaro which has small scoups built into the backing plates, btw even with these i have had my performance friction pads to the point of brake fade before if this tells you how hard i drive sometimes, anyhow good luck on your systems
