  1. If the driveshaft balance does not take care of it I will search for someone with a roll around balancer that does it on the car.
  2. One of my fellow cruisers said it could be the torque converter causing the problem.
  3. That's what I've been told. I changed mine to 3.08 limited slip.
  4. There are two lug patterns on the wheels.
  5. John said he checked the yoke splines on the driveshaft and said it looked good.
  6. I'm starting to wonder if it's the wheels. They are 15 X 8 Vintique unilug rally's. Haven't heard about the driveshaft yet.I didn't won't to beileve it might be the wheels since I bought then brand new.
  7. It is there above 65 and the faster you go after 70 it fades.
  8. All of the internals have been replaced on the differential from Randy's Ring and Pinion 2 1/2 years ago. The vibration was there before that.
  9. Update. The new U joints didn't get rid of the vibration. Will take the Drive Shaft to get it balanced.
  10. I dropped it off this morning and he said will have driveshaft balanced as well as new U joints installed. Yes the tires have been rotated.
  11. No it didn't resolve my problem. I still am replacing the U joints. I will mention the drive line phasing to him.
  12. I cleaned mine up with detail spray Friday and took it for a ride. Going to the garage tomorrow to check on differential and change U joints.
  13. I did the Force balancer and found one tire with excess force and swapped it with my new spare.
  14. I have not checked the driveshaft but I will mention Monday when I take it in. Got some new U joints from Napa. Hope they work the first time. I did not change the ride height. It has all new bushings shocks and Coil Springs. Everything is original type.
  15. We torque most american made cars at 100 and most foreign cars at 80. Trucks are smetimes more.
  16. I do get a slight popping noise sometimes when I put it into drive or change to reverse.
  17. I will have him check the driveshaft and Ujoints. They were new a few years agon when the car was restored. Someone mentioned the C clips holding the U joints in may be too skinny.
  18. My car has a similar distributor made by Proformance. I think I paid $75.00 for it similar source. No problems so far.
  19. I am still not cured of the vibration. I had to take my wife to Greenville SC to pick up her car and I drove the Monte on Hwy 85 for about 1 1/2 hours each way. I still had the vibration at 70. Kinda un nerving. I need to take it back to the mechanic to check the rearend out after putting some miles on it since the rebuild and I need a list of things to have him check to get rid of the vibration.
  20. The flasher in the fuse panel is for the four way flashers and the one on the steering column is for the turn signal. Mounted there to resonate on the column. The heavy duty flashers are louder.
