    Wheels

I was looking around trying to price some Rallys 15x8 with the 4.5 inch back spacing. I can find alot just not the backspacing. Any place ya'll found them or are you able to call and order these? Was thinking about Keystone Klassics as well.
  2. Thanks for sharing this!
  3. Ya, that's the one I saw yesterday and couldn't find it again!! Thanks, that's cool!!!
  4. you just never look hard enough the first time! LOL im pretty sure that it was hit on its front right at one point. I did find a measurement chart from another thread to check frame squareness??? im gonna work on that tomorrow.
  5. I did do that with the sway bar . i think, like you said, getting the wheels back on and get on the ground might be the ticket.
  6. I also found this after the frame come back from paint. i have to do something with it. the motor mount doesnt fit right. probbly explaines why it was loose when i tore it apart!😁
  7. yes it is original to the car except the brakets were so beat up and bent the new bushings wouldnt fit in them.
  8. Im trying to finish up the sspension work and the sway bar is kicking my behind. if i attachthe frame bushings first the drivers side emd is touching the upper control arm and the pass side is about centered between the two. so i attached sway bar to the links first, now i cant get the drivers side frame bushing to push up far enough to get the bolts started into the frame. my question is do you think the sway bar is bent or the frame, or the loose nut behind the wrench? this is the pass side link. it doesnt rally line up well either. if i snug it down it turns the bushings into pie shaped instead of coming down semi uniform.
  9. I see a acouple of old threads on big block headers but i am not finding anything on small blocks. will long tube headers fit on a 400 with a TH350 behind it without alot of messing around or should a guy just go with shortys? It also has 2" drop spindles on it, but i dont think that will affect it too much.
  10. I have it just haven't put it on yet. Just got this under the frame! It aint pretty but it worked!!!
  11. Anybody know if these upper control arm bolts are right? Or do they go the other way thru the frame? in

  15. He did help with most of it. He has a good mechanical/how does this work mind. 420ponies you better make sure you got all your lug nuts after he fixes it! 😁
  16. Yep, until my daughter-in-law gets ahold of my old butt! 😄
  17. Had my 8 yr old grandson helping this past weekend and he learned to pack wheel bearings! He can't be here for everthing and I can't always wait for him to be here, but I think the time spent on a project will help keep him intrested and learning. They are smarter at that age than they get credit for. Anyway, we did get the front end back together! Couldn't have got it all done without him!

    Hello

Rob, it actually had a dark blue vinyl top and is just in primer in that pic. I plan to put a white top on it when I'm done.
  20. Ok, that's what I'll do. Thanks!
  21. I read to set the car on the ground with all the weight on it before torqueing the control arm bushing bolts etc. i have no weight just a frame, any wisdom or just snug it and do it later?
  22. I am putting the front suspension together on my ’70 and I put LEEDS 2” drop spindles on (SP5002P). I have already modified the brake caliper bracket to fit. My question is that I found backing plates that are cut to fit, www.summitracing.com/parts/oer-153644 my thought is to cut the ones I have down but, it looks like they cut out a lot of material. I was going to cut mine down to a little snugger fit. Anybody done this or maybe just left it off all together?
  23. Thank You! I had not heard of these folks. They did have what i wanted. Appreciate the info!!!
