About Me

Retired Navy Chief, worked 20 years in Naval Aviation then worked in Civilian Aviation with GE Aircraft Engines, Cessna, and finally worked with Case/New Holland where I finally retired at 55 for good.  I used to have my own Rock Band and if you search my name on YOUTUBE you might find some videos of my band, but if you're not into Classic, Southern or Hard Rock then maybe you better not look LOL.  I have had several classic cars over the years started out with a 1968 Mustang, 1963 Ford Pickup, 1970 Impala 2 Door 300HP 350, 1971 El Camino, 1967 Pontiac Lemans, 1971 Nova with sweet little 355/4 speed/Canfield Heads, which I am still kicking my own [censored] for trading it straight across for a 1976 Corvette Stingray All Original #'s matching but it was the worst car trade I ever made, I will never own another Corvette.  My favorite was my 1968 Camaro Z28 Clone with 540 BBC, Lunati Pro Mod Rotating assy, AFR Rect Port Heads, Edelbrock TM2R Intake (45' angled carb, cool look I thought), Demon 850 DP, MSD Billet Distributor, MSD Digital 6 Plus Ignition, Big Shot N2O system, Griffin Radiator, Comp Cams .633 Lift (sounded and Ran BAD A**), TCI Racing Tranny w/reverse shift pattern, B&M Shifter, frame connectors, scattershield and driveshaft loop, richmond 3:73 gears, Moser Axles all packed into a teeny 8.2" rear and it never gave me a problem with the upgraded Richmond gears and Moser Axles. (However I never got the car backhalfed and just ran slapper bars so I could really never hook up)  You talk about a sharp looking and fun to drive car that was IT!!!  Ran 12.14 with street tires and slapper bars at test and tune at the track by my inexperienced (no track experience) self and I'd go up in smoke off the line and had to let my foot off the gas and work the throttle to keep from spinning the tires and still managed a respectable 12.14  Easily a 9 sec car if I had it back halfed or ladder bars or something.  730 HP Motor alone before nitrous Big Shot System can do 275+HP  I was jetted at 225 HP and used it one time on my road in the country and at about 35 mph the whole car tried to jump sideways....LOL tried it at a little higher speed at about 60 mph and all I remembered was watching the trees fly by me!  I was very impressed with N2O.  And I did it right, with Automatic retard and plenty of FUEL dialed in.  Fun Stuff!  And now I begin my journey with this 1970 Monte Carlo, a very classy car indeed.  My car has a story behind it, first 1970 was the very first year of the Monte and mine was #9815 off of the Van Nuys, CA. line in September of 1970.  It was purchased by a Factory Worker directly off of the Production Line and never saw a dealership.  He owned the car ever since and it has been garage kept it's entire life and at some point he left CA and moved to Oklahoma where I found her.  He passed away and the car was part of his estate.  The granddaughter had to get it transferred into her name only so she could sell the car to me, I think it was in her name for 10 days while she waited to get the title, so technically while the registration history will show 3 owners, I am actually only the 2nd owner of this car.
