I am curious to know if this tube can be removed and replaced with a filter cap insert on the valve cover?

I have a ‘72 and do have the brass ring on the headlight switch. I am experiencing the same problem and replaced the switch but, still no dash lights. I will have to check the ground wire contacts to see if that’s the problem. I appreciate reading all the comments to correct this problem and will keep watching these posts for more information.
