  1. They are also at the local swapmeets. When Greg has needed something he has called ahead for the part & they bring it to Canfield, Randolph, Canton...wherever he is going & they are going to be. That has saved on shipping & on a 2 hour drive .
  2. WOW - some serious pictures there of the resto in progress. Are you keeping it the same color?
  3. Not necessarily as you were allowed to choose all that you would be willing to do.....
  4. We down to 5 people wanting to race???
  5. Mac - I forgot to mention that if a group is interested in heading to the Point, Rick Eckenfels said he & his wife would be happy to load up and drop off 2 groups there...and I imagine go pick you up & bring you back to the hotel later. For those voting for Cedar Point - if you would kindly drop me an email or pm or post here in the thread the number in your party that MAY be interested, I would appreciate it!
  6. I have had some members ask me about Cedar Point Amusement Park. If this is something that you (&/or your family members) are interested in please respond here or send me an email. I would need to know how many are interested before finding out more info. I believe there is a 15 person minimum to qualify for group rates. Tickets would need to be paid for in advance. You are responsible for getting to CP and back. Regular prices are: $45.99 48" & taller $19.99 under 48" tall and age 62 & older I believe group prices will be: $32.00 48" & taller $16.99 under 48" tall and age 62 & older ****************************************** I also have a FGMCC Member (Chad Hefflinger) offering to co-ordinate walleye fishing! He can take 4-5 on his boat or he has friends in the business he can look into the cost of chartering a boat. I know there is the "what to do with the fish I catch?" question.... Here are Chad's thoughts. Quote: cars would be safe at marina, fish would be cleaned at local bait shop. we could have a fish fry that day, or the cleaning place will freeze them. see what kind of interest there would be and let me know, please feel free to give my number to any one who has questions. Please share your interest (or lack of) in the poll below!
  7. Alrighty, I now have additional info for those wishing to race their monte's during the 11th Annual Eastern Meet this June. Please make your NEW selection(s) and we'll take it from there. Be sure to tell your buddies to log on & vote, too! Please remember that although the meet seems far away (a mere 125 days), we need to lock in on club activities before then. OPTION 1: Dragway 42: Private track rental $50/car & driver (with 10 racers). Rental is for 3 hours and will be either Thursday or Friday afternoon OPTION 2: Dragway 42: Race on Friday evening during regular business hours $15/car & driver. OPTION 3: Race during Super Chevy:Summit Raceway Park would like all that attend the Super Chevy Show to be able to participate in as many activities as possible. In the past, you had to choose to either race or be in the car show. Bill Bader has agreed to allow anyone to do both. The only catch is that you are taking a chance by racing that your car may not be on the show field when the judges come through. The cost is $60 which allows you to participate in time trials on Friday, Saturday and the Sunday Main Event. RACE COST is in ADDITION to your regular weekend show pass costs. (Stay tuned for those details.....) And/Or you may also do $35 which allows you to participate in the Saturday Bonus Race. The Bonus Race details are: Box Win ($1,200), R/U ($500), Semi ($200), Quarter ($100) No Box Win ($1,200), R/U ($500), Semi ($200), Quarter ($100) Total Posted Purse = $5,000 Here is the tentative schedule for Super Chevy Weekend at Norwalk: The schedule is as follows: Friday, June 11 Gate Open:.................................. 8:00 a.m. Time Trials (2):.......................... 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12 Gates Open:.................................8:00 a.m. Time Trials (2):...........................9:00 a.m. Box & No Box Bonus Race:... 3:00 p.m. Car Show Awards:..................... to be announced Pre Race:..................................... 6:30 p.m. Feature Rounds:........................ 7:00 p.m. & 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13 Gates Open:............................... 8:00 a.m. Main Event Eliminations:...... 9:00 a.m. Pre Race:.................................... 1:00 p.m. Feature Rounds:....................... 1:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. Car Show Awards:.................... to be announced Also, Greg said he will have his truck & trailer hooked up & ready to go (at home) just in case of any misshaps - he is ready to go to lend a hand!

  14. Andreas has told many that if they want to take on planning a Central Meet they have his support. You need to find an event that we can piggy-back as well as activities to do during the event time period. Hope to see it happen someday. Further discussion should be in a separate thread . Thanks.
  15. It is one of the islands out in Lake Erie.
  16. Tim - I had to re-read it 3x looking for my link and I knew it was there! I just made it a bold "here" so it may be easier to see. Sorry about that!
  17. PUT IN BAY Transportation to Dock of Ferry: So far I have one place that gave me 2 different options based on # that head out to the dock: 50 person motor coach total cost $ 498.22 round trip 50 people = $9.96 per person total 30 person coach $383.25 round trip 30 people = $ 12.77 per person total PLUS YOUR FERRY COST OF.... Ferry Transportation to Put-in-Bay: Miller Ferry $11 RT/adult PLUS YOUR COST OF.... Whatever you choose to do while on the island. Perhaps you will check out wineraries, or a cave tour or just bar hop & consume beverages. Keep in mind the additional costs on top of getting to/from the island. There are many things to do there. You may want to check out their website PUT-IN-BAY WEBSITE . I am also looking into GO-KART RACING but they are closed for the season so I will not have an answer for a couple months on if we can take over a track just for our group. Rick Eckenfels is looking for a cruise in to possibly go to on Thurs or Friday Evening also. There are also volleyball courts at Kalahari. I have also looked into drive-in theaters but the 2 I found had disconnected numbers so it does not look like that will be an option. Once more please post your vote on if you would want to do any of these activities. Again, these activities would be either Thursday or Friday during the day.
  18. That would be fine but it would not be a group activity - if a bunch of folks wanted to take off & go that is entirely up to them. Stay tuned for more options of activities.
  19. More spectators than racers - not looking so good to add racing to our activity list in 2010 as it stands right now. We will try again in the upcoming year(s).
  20. But did you vote Mike? Please do somewhere Thanks.
