I have put a custom auto sound radio in my 72 and if fit great. however sound hasn't been tested yet....and I don't like the flimsy plastic knobs for the vol. and turner.

I have heard of using the hobby paint pen. looks like a regular magic marker but has paint in it. I am going to try that on mine. I met Adam at the SCS at indy and he used silver hobby paint and it looked really good. I recently painted the dash with plastic kote....what a difference. but now the silver looks bad. well I'll look around in some interior fix it books.

Yes there is. I am doing the same thing right now to my dash. I found a gauge dash for 200 bucks. and I traced all the wiring to the fuse block and mapped it. I then took each wire loose from the block and marked the location. since the purchased dash had the column shift I reused the backside off my dash. then swithched the tach/fuel gauge (three screws) then replaced the gauges on each end. cleaned it all up and will order a new printed circuit because neither one of mine is in good shape.....however be very very careful in messing with the cluster area...the plastic that everything is in is extremely sensitive to overtightening. and in general the plastic is brittle. I took the dash i purchased and my old dash and had them set up on tables opposite each other so I could easily figure out what goes where....I prefer the factory look. i found the dash locally through the want ads....all i can say is patience. one will come up and be the right price.

Well i'm am near finish rebuilding the engine 350ci. Stainless? Ceramic coated? anyone company? I have the stock exhaust manifolds ready to go back on and then I thought...what if.!?! I plan on running duals with the H crossover. So I'm just lookin for ideas.

POR 15 makes a paint called metal mask. It is supposed to be the same color as bare metal. I have a quart of the paint to do the same to mine but haven't used it yet. but with POR15 reputation I think it's a safe bet. check out the website www.por15.com. might have to call them directly. Charlie

SuperChevy just ran an article either last month or month before about installing a brighter light in 57 chevy. I think they had lights for all types of chevys. will check the article out.
