  1. You know what the most valuable lesson we can teach, share and encourage... SAFETY. I am glad all was ok. Now as for last nights fit of inspiration...
  2. The way i look, at it is atleast im not doing 1/4 panels and floorpans. This is not really alot compared to others im sure we have all seen.
  3. Well... She made it home, it looks really good. Trying to line up a good metal worker, found more rust thru. Overall happy other than the cost.
  4. Well today i have to figure how to get my car from body shop. Just got 2nd bill for my Monte (2260). Oh and ive already paid 950$ and all they did was blast and epoxy coat.
  5. Well... Spent a little today at summit racing, rearend rebuild kit and a set of gears. (3.55) also picked up 700r4 rebuild kit and lock-up kit and rear upper control arms. Hopefully I will be busy next week getting it all in and started.
  6. I finished up welding braces in frame. Picked up 3 50# bags of glass beads for sandblaster 10$ a bag on sale at northern tool.
  7. Today was the first installment to the never ending story known as the body shop. Ha. I finished up install on new air compressor, next week I'll get my bro. In laws sandblasters and go to town on frame, a arms rear end and this and that and coat it in I'll never see you again chassis black.
  8. I hope my father didn't disgrace my Monte, he installed a set from 76 monte. Sad to think safety was an option back in the day.
  9. Well today was fun. Went to a local salvage yard and picked up a rearend out of a 96 formula firebird. Why you ask? The discs brake brackets bolt up to a 12 bolt rear. Now I will have 11 inch rear discs for under 200$. And they were parting out a 72 Monte, not much there but a few things were there.
  10. Made some progress today as I pulled the fuel tank out. I guess I just got tired of smelling 20 year old gas. But I did have a nice suprise.
  11. It's more of a what I prepared for my Monte really. I went to Summit Racing here in McDonough and well... Front and rear lowering springs, all ball joints and master bushing kit by Energy Suspension as well as new front rotors.
  12. Those little bitty white dots? Why those are where someone used a slide hammer and now they are back filled with bondo
  13. Well today brought an adventure in never look a gift horse in the mouth. I removed both front fenders and what to my wondering eyes should appear.
