It seems like Krylon and Rustoleum seem to be the paint of choice. Are you using a primer also??

I will soon be in the same boat as you. I am trying to keep mine as original as possible but the more I think about it semi gloss to gloss on both sounds much nicer. I think it will look better for show.

Welcome to the forum. Before you give up on the motor make sure that something else is not locked up like the water pump, alternator. If it is the motor you could try to pour some tranny fluid in the cylinders and let it soak in for a week and try to break it free by hand. Tranny fluid works great in soaking through rust. I have freed up several motors that way

I got some energy this weekend 2/28/10. Front and rear glass were removed,console,dash pad, and rear quarter windows. Just a small hole by the front glass. A little more work is needed by the rear window. Floor boards and wheels look awsome. front window area rear window area wheel wells and floor boards

No matter what it is going to be messy. I figured with a stripper it would clean up a little easier. only the floor to clean. With sanding it will be over everything. I could build a screen around the car though out of plastic and that would keep all the dust off the shelves

It's not what you were thinking so get your minds out of the gutter. LOL. I was wondering your input on paint strippers. I want to get the car down to metal. Sanding all the paint seems very messy. I was thinking of stripping first and then hitting it with a DA. You all have nice cars what worked the best for you

Yes I was talking about the bezels not the fender extentions. They looked the same but I was not sure if they were. You know how GM can be. Looks the same but slightly different. Thanks for your help
